hey youtube ryan here again i'm going to,be talking about tick tock today,and that sounds kind of weird coming,from me because i some people have,spoken to me privately probably know,like i've,kind of disregarded tik tok for a long,time something really crazy happened,to my brand sales over the last week,that,i found actually to be attributed to,tick tock primarily,so there was a four day period where my,brand sold 160 000,in a four-day period right that's just,on amazon and so,when i saw the sales were increasing so,drastically my eyebrows raised and i,started to want to pay attention to tick,tock right,i see you know the fact that it has not,been,banned in the us and i don't think it,will be there's so many users on tick,tock so if you have an audience,that you're trying to sell your products,to that's under the age of 30 which i do,it's a channel that can be used very,effectively to sell products,before last week i really just thought,it was a place for people to just go,and watch time-wasting videos but,there's actually a lot more potential,there that i was completely ignoring,maybe because i'm you know over 30 years,old so i'm not really like a user of,tech talk but now that i am a user,and i've been looking at the marketing,potential of it as well as the,effect that it's had on my business i,wanted to make a video,to talk about a few things first what,was it that drove,this growth for my sales that i see,actually is maintaining even though it,was like a four day period that was 160k,my sales are still like 30 to 40 percent,up,prior to this event on tick tock,happening so i'm going to talk about,what it was that basically happened,so that you can start spending time on,tick tock and maybe replicate these,results,if you are really watching it closely,second thing i want to talk about is,there's updates with,shopify and tick-tock so if you have a,shopify store,there's something that you should do,that i'm going to go over and even if,you don't have a shopify store there's,something that you should definitely,look into doing as soon as possible,tiktok has,so many users and a lot of potential for,most of the people watching this so,um that's basically what we're going to,talk about today if you're new to the,channel my name is ryan rigney i am,an eight-figure amazon fba seller i sell,my brand's products on amazon as well as,on shopify,the point of this channel is to help,people who are trying to grow their,amazon sales or to grow their e-commerce,brand,find tips tricks tactics that are not so,obvious,to do that so it's there really isn't,like a structured format for the videos,i just go over things that i'm thinking,about or working on,things that i share with my private,students in my brand boost blueprint,program as well so if that sounds good,to you and this type of information is,interesting,hit subscribe drop a comment like the,video,that makes me more likely to want to,make more videos if i see people are,actually,watching it so with that said let's get,into what it was that caused,this spike in my sales so i was like,going about my day,like normal checking my sales like,towards the afternoon and i,noticed that you know my sales were like,two times what they usually were on a,day so i was like really kind of,taken aback like what happened did one,of my products go viral i couldn't,seem to figure out what was driving the,traffic um,i looked at facebook i looked at,instagram i looked at,youtube i looked for news press releases,i looked for all these things and then i,was just thinking,where is a lot of the attention right,now a lot of the attention,is on tick tock of course the user base,has grown,dramatically over the last year since,january of 2018 tick tock's user base,has grown by over 800 percent,there's now about 91 million active,users in the united states which is,absolutely crazy considering the,population of the us is 328 million,ish maybe like 330 million by now so the,fact that there's 91 million active,users in the us and there's like 330,million in the us like that's a pretty,big,portion so i looked on tick talk i,looked at hashtags relating to my,products that were going viral,and i saw that there was sort of like a,challenge going on,that related to one of my products,and there was really it wasn't even,anything fancy it was like somebody who,shot a selfie video,and they did like a challenge so they,did a thing like on tick tock they do,these things called challenges and,they record a video they record some,audio and then people take the audio,they record their own video using the,audio and then they kind of participate,in the challenge and i noticed that,there was something like 8 million,impressions,on this this audio clip and there was,there were a couple thousand videos that,were,using this audio clip over and over,again so,what i did was i took part in it as well,i created,a tech talk for my brand i made videos,for the brand very simple stuff like,very,low effort and at the end of

ads and abs, but mostly ads.,Now in general, TikTok has
actually become an environment,where companies and people interact a lot,,so I think a lot of businesses see TikTok,as a good marketing opportunity.,- Thank you Little Caesars,for the life size plush replica of me!,- And in terms
of the ads I've seen,,there's quite a wide variety.,(dramatic music),- I have been dreaming of
marriage with a rich girl.,- I've gotten ads for parks,,ads for like fake veneers and
ads for working for TikTok.,Some are for super small Etsy shops.,Some are for larger corporations.,Some play into TikTok trends,,or try to mimic the normal videos,you might see on your for you page,,and some are incredibly
low effort and confusing.,Like, what is this product,
and why is it so pixelated?,And I also know that other
people notice these ads as well,and can relate to getting blasted,by the same one for weeks on end.,- This is a plea to the
marketing people at HALARA.,Please, stop targeting me to
buy your mini tennis dress.,- Every time they open the app.,- Wow, I sure love my HALARA dress.,(sobs) It's, it's really cute!,- But TikTok does have a
very targeted algorithm.,I should know. I've been on
Edgar Allen Poe Tok before,,so maybe they do know best,,and maybe I will like
the things they show me.,So that's what we're gonna
do, buy the first five things,that TikTok ads recommend

quick disclaimers here.,One is that I'm gonna be
pretty much just ignoring,the first ad that comes up
right when you open the app,,because I usually find that
those are for movies, TV shows,or big companies like Credit Karma,,and I'm more interested in
their normal ad inventory,rather than the big banner ones,,which feel less targeted overall.,The other disclaimer is that
rather than just sitting,in one spot and just scrolling,until I get to all of the ads,,I'm gonna open the app up multiple times,throughout the day and
get my five ads that way,,just because that more closely replicates,the way I use TikTok on the daily,,compulsively opening the app,,scrolling through a few videos,,feeling guilty about wasting
time and then closing the app.,Alright, and with that,
let's ruin my algorithm.,Alright, so I've been scrolling,,and TikTok gave me a pretty good ad here.,This is an ad for Pizza
Hut's new limited edition,,streetwear line, Tastewear.,- They don't just sell pizza
anymore. They make streetwear.,And it's called Tastewear,
so let's get into it.,- Yes, that's right, Pizza
Hut made a track suit,,and they're advertising it to
me, which is weirdly targeted.,I am not necessarily the
world's biggest Pizza Hut fan,,but I am a huge fan of companies,doing weird PR things, including clothing.,KFC Crocs, sign me up.
Peeps Crocs, I'm there.,Pizza Hut parka, I mean, I have that.,I don't actually follow a
lot of brands on TikTok,,but I have posted a fair amount of videos,with weird clothing, including

In this session, you will learn,how to get started on TikTok,,to find influencers on TikTok and,how to run ads to your,Amazon FBA products.,Our guest today will be Paul,Harvey from Rankster.,He helps Amazon brands to get,external traffic.,This session is part of Seller,Fest Online virtual event, which is,sponsored by three companies.,The first one is Carbon6.,It's a suite of tools for,Amazon sellers to optimize and stream,streamline any aspect of their Amazon,business journey.,You can check the link below,in the description to see what,tools they offer and the next,company, which is sponsoring this event,is GETIDA.,They're an Amazon FBA auditing company,,and they help Amazon sellers of,any size to maximize the FBA,reimbursements.,So check the link below and,see their offer as well.,And Quartile is also part of,this event.,They are artificial intelligence powered advertising,optimization platform for sellers and brand,owners to maximize the potential in,eCommerce and link to Quartile and,they offer, you will find below,in the description.,And if during the session you,learn something new, don't forget to,like and subscribe.,And I'm hosting this session together,with Lisett Lees.,She works with different brands on,Amazon as well.,Hi Lisett.,Hi, Augustas great to be here,with you to host another very,interesting session about TikTok advertising.,So let's invite Paul here as,well.,So Paul, before we go to,your today's presentation, could you first,give us some information about your,background and also what you currently,do in Amazon space?,Absolutely.,Thanks for that.,So basically I'm a long term,Amazon seller I've been selling for,over 10 years, in that process,I've sold a lot of my,own Amazon accounts, and then I've,launched a bunch of Amazon seller,software.,And then I've, I've also run,about two or three agencies as,well in the past.,And I'm currently launching a few,other aspects effectively, anything I can,do to help Amazon sellers, I,want to do it.,Great.,So this is gonna be a,quick presentation and why everyone needs,to use TikTok.,Bear in mind, I'm known kind,of in the space is that,I always send external traffic to,Amazon listings.,That's my thing.,And effectively TikTok right now is,the new kid on the block.,We all need to take action.,So this is basically how we,do that because in the past,we always ran rebates.,This is a standard Amazon 101,in the past, when it was,legally allowed, how we could run,rebates and the costs were pretty,much, I mean, $20 products you,would, you would, you would do,about a hundred rebates and it,was pretty costly.,And I ran a rebate service,in the past and we would,standard do on standard, do at,least a hundred rebates per product.,And it was very, very expensive,for everyone.,It really, really was.,And then we couldn't do it,overnight.,We just could not do it,anymore.,So this is why I'm focusing,on TikTok because it is the,most effective platform because TikTok strategies,are cheaper, more effective, evergreen and,repeatable.,And I failed at a ton,like I really mean a ton.,I even created my own influencer,database software, which cost me over,$50,000, which absolutely failed.,But we learned this to figure,out what we doing and what,works and what doesn't work.,So look at this, this is,a campaign we actually ran in,December.,What was interesting is that the,views you can see are very,,very few.,There really were.,We didn't actually, we didn't track,how many clicks came from the,views or from the videos, but,it wasn't much.,But what you can see is,when Amazon sees traffic coming from,,from TikTok for a gradual period,of time, there's an increase in,sales.,I see this absolutely all over,the time because a lot of,tech talk users use TikTok and,then open Amazon in a separate,browser and discuss this a little,bit later, but this is absolutely,huge for Amazon sellers.,So now we need to use,influencer marketing and I say, influencer,marketing, excuse me.,I'm using that term very loosely.,And when I say influencer marketing,,I pretty much referred to anyone,that creates content and post it,on tech TikTok.,That's basically it.,And now this is why you,need to do the same.,Step one, find influencer and influencers,are in super hard demand.,And anyone that's really good.,Even if they have maybe a,thousand followers, they will get at,least 10 requests a day.,So when you offer them, when,you reach out to them, what,is making you unique? Bear there,in mind, a lot of influencers.,They get so much content to,arrive at their front door.,They don't know what to do,with it.,So they take all those products,and they don't even know who,to reach out to.,That's why they simply don't care.,And the same approach that you,did in high school applies to,you.,Now influences right now in eCommerce,are the popular kids in high,school.,So that you need to approach,it that way, they're popular, you're,not, it's back to dating 101.,Because a good response rate and,I mean, this, we reach out,to anyway, be

so for a long time now people have,speculated and said that bringing,traffic from off amazon does really well,for your listing amazon loves when you,bring your traffic over and so for that,reason i decided to put it to the test,and try organic marketing you know tick,tock and other platforms,to see how that does for my product and,i'll teach you exactly in this video,what i did and what i learned from this,whole process hey what's up everyone,yaniv here and welcome back to a new,video if you guys are new here and you,don't know what we do basically we put,out course level information for,absolutely free you know for those of,you who don't have enough money for an,amazon fba program or are just not ready,to invest in one right now as you can,see beginning of july in august,september you know you have like the two,and a half months here basically you can,see that i was you know averaging about,50 sales per day uh and then,right around you know mid august you can,see that huge spike averaging maybe 95,100 sales for about a week there the,only thing that i did differently was uh,what i'm going to share with you today,right about there right about beginning,of august uh we started doing this and,it did take a little bit of time with,the tick tocks and and uh you know other,stuff that i was putting out all the,content i was putting out to actually,start seeing an effect on amazon,meaning it wasn't actually completely,you know in line it wasn't like i,started and then instantly saw the,results it took about a week for things,to mellow for amazon to see that this,was you know continued traffic and,continued shoppers to our listing and,that's when we really saw a huge you,know kind of spike in sales after that,you can see we actually started to,increase our price because we were,selling too quickly we didn't have,enough time to get our inventory in and,uh right about that you know the the,lowest drop there,was because our main variation of our,product actually was completely out of,stock now we're you know back in stock,we are just you know kind of stabilizing,right now and i will be doing another,one of these you know kind of runs with,social media and i'll be able you know,if you want to keep track of how that,works uh subscribe to the channel so you,don't miss that video now let's go into,my organic content marketing flow what i,did and how in about seven days i,literally doubled my sales,so the first thing i want to talk to you,guys about is paid ads versus earned,media and it's super important to make,that distinction distinction because,while paid ads are you know possible to,do and you can really do them profitably,if you know you know what you're doing,overall earned media is actually the way,to go meaning you know putting out,organic content putting out different,kind of you know pieces of marketing out,there and allowing those social,platforms to actually push your content,to,people that it thinks will actually like,it and truly i believe the reason why,earned media is so important you know,the followers the the people come back,every single time to uh watch your,videos or you know kind of keep track of,the progress with your brand is because,you know paid ads are only getting more,and more competitive not only on ppc on,amazon but literally on facebook on,google you know everyone is trying to,kind of shortcut their way to success,with their brand and their business and,while that is possible to make a ton of,money with paid ads and paid ads,definitely play a role earned media i,think is the way of the future building,your audience building your brand and,building your culture within that so i,think that is definitely the way the,future uh biggest companies around the,world actually focus on earned media you,know they focus on growing a brand now,and then also um you know referrals and,stuff like that which can really only,come from you know your most dedicated,fans the people who will go around and,spread your product so basically what,i'm trying to say is you know paid ads,can seem sexy and kind of the way to get,rich quick um you know not focusing on,paid customers and focusing on uh,growing your audience and your and your,customers,you know through,actual organic content marketing i think,that is really the long-term future so,definitely focus on that now the truth,of what i'm going to show you and what i,did here is actually very hard work,right like paid ads seems super quick,super easy put that on you know and it,goes and you make a million dollars uh,obviously that's not the case but,what i'm gonna show you here is actually,you know very hard work and it's gonna,take a lot of time and truthfully 99 of,people who watch this video actually,won't probably do anything so they're,just going to watch it and,not implement anything and if you really,want to be successful and if you really,want to see a change in your business if,your
