a few months ago YouTube announced that,they are going to start allowing,advertisers to run ads on YouTube shorts,placements YouTube shorts of course,being the short form content that is,competing with Tick Tock and over the,past few months as I've been looking at,YouTube shorts I've noticed more and,more ads showing up inside the feed the,ads look something like this they're,very hard to spot sometimes and I think,this is a great opportunity for a lot of,advertisers who adopt this early so the,question is how do you get your videos,on the YouTube ads placements and how,does that work how do you set everything,up so that's what we're going to be,covering in this video today so in order,to run ads on YouTube shorts the first,thing you will need is a Google ads,account so I'm assuming you have that,set up from there you can go through and,hit the new campaigns button we're going,to create a brand new campaign we're,going to select either sales or leads,inside of here for this one I'm going to,select sales and then you can select,your conversion action hit continue and,then now we are going to want to want to,of course select videos we're going to,hit continue here and then you can go,through and give your campaign a name,whatever you'd like it to be or we're,just going to call this YouTube,shorts,and then you go through and select your,bidding strategy Target CPA or maximize,conversions we're going to set a daily,budget of five dollars a day and then we,the networks we can we have no choice,but to leave these in here when you're,optimizing for sales or leads you can go,through and choose your location your,language and then your content,exclusions and inventory types,essentially I'm not going to go through,all the details of these things because,I cover in my full YouTube video,tutorial but but here's one thing that I,do want to highlight for this video,specifically this is really important,for this additional settings here you,want to click this down and then on this,device's eligible devices you want to,come through and set a specific,targeting for devices we're going to opt,out of all of these and only show on,mobile phones this is of course because,YouTube shorts only shows on mobile,phones so we only want to be showing on,those placements now you can go through,instead of frequency cap add schedule,all those different things add the group,will just leave it as is for this,audience 10 that we are going to be,targeting marketers,people in marketing save that like I,said not going into this as much detail,because I do already have a full video,that talks about all the YouTube Target,and stuff like that we're gonna we're,gonna opt out of this use Optimus used,optimized targeting and then from here,this is another important part so when,you're going through and entering this,URL this needs to be a URL that is,currently a short video so you can come,to your profile on how to do that as you,just come to one of yours you'll see,these this little short shelf,essentially if you click inside of here,and then I'm going to pause that so you,don't have to listen to me uh and then,come over grab the URL up here and then,come over to YouTube and place that,inside of there now you're going to,notice with the previews here that it is,showing stuff that that are on desktop,now there is a caveat to running shorts,ads right now and that is this is still,in beta and setting it up this way,doesn't necessarily mean mean or,guarantee that you're going to show up,only in the shorts placement so keep,that in mind that's something that I do,want to make sure you are aware of but,setting it up this way making sure that,you're only targeting mobile devices and,that you are uh you're you uploaded an,actual short into the the ads here it,gives you the opportunity to show up in,that short feed right now now I'm,guessing Google is probably going to,change this as time goes on and there's,probably going to be a specific,targeting option for YouTube shorts I,don't know that for sure but I imagine,that's how it's going to be so I will be,sure to keep this video updated as that,that information does come out so if,you're watching response bent edited,in tick tocks shot like tick tocks I was,getting you know like 0.5.6,click-through rates and I could not,break through as soon as I started using,this scripting methodology and some of,the production stuff around it I'm,looking at five percent click-through,rates and I feel so confident in it like,I feel like I've totally corrected at,this point so how do you recommend,shooting these ads if if not like,standard organic tick tocks high,production values not like you'll spend,a bunch of money I'm saying use a good,camera and have like the YouTube,aesthetic you got to think like YouTuber,like get a nice camera or figure out how,to shoot with cinematic mode you know,and like make it look good do stuff like,depth of field lighting and stuff like,that so
