because the entire,internet has lost their damn minds and,they have focused on this when it,doesn't matter this,the story that i'm talking about is elon,buying twitter,the bid was approved and i have seen so,many people acting as though twitter has,already been saved and it has been,resurrected or it has been destroyed,based on the behavior and the,functioning of twitter over the last,week,i feel very disappointed that i need to,point this out but nothing at twitter,has officially changed the handoff or,the buyout will not be finalized for,three to six months so i think people,need to cool their jets with the whole,elon is a savior or elon is a destroyer,nothing has happened everything that's,going on on twitter right now is due to,the internal behavior of employees of,twitter elon has no input in what's,going on on twitter right now it is all,due to people who are currently working,at twitter so elon is not a savior elon,is not a destroyer if anything occurs at,twitter right now it it could,lead to some pretty serious issues we,will have to wait to see the actual,implementation of these new policies to,see how they actually impact twitter,but i am going to,go in with very skeptical optimism very,hesitant optimism,i do think there will be two points here,that will lead to a lot of pushback the,first one being human authentication,the reason i think that will be,getting a lot of pushback that's the one,i am most concerned with,that will have some pretty serious,privacy and security implications,because if you have to authenticate that,you are a human how will you be doing,that will they require you to upload,your driver's license or a,government-issued id if that's the case,i am way off board because i think that,will be very dangerous for twitter to,have that much information on you,so depending on how they implement the,human authentication it could be good,but it could be a huge overreach and,have very serious implications for how,people interact with twitter,so i am,hesitant on the human authentication,would i like everybody on twitter to be,an actual human and not some kind of bot,absolutely that would make twitter so,much better but how they do that will,determine if that's a good or a bad,thing,and the second point i think it's a good,thing but i know that a lot of people,are going to have an issue with free,speech because some people,think that the law does not go far,enough in limiting what people are,allowed to say,i will be the first to admit there are,disgusting people on twitter to this day,i have gotten a lot of negative comments,i have gotten a lot of negative feedback,from people on twitter most of it i just,ignore but if it gets bad enough if i,get harassed i end up muting or blocking,people actually i don't think i've ever,blocked anyone on twitter,i think i've just muted people and,that's the most passive-aggressive thing,you can do because they don't even know,that they're muted it's a beautiful tool,i think that is the crowning jewel for,twitter the mute function,because you don't see anything they say,they could be screaming at you a hundred,tweets a day you will never know it it's,just a beautiful
