if you're an agency owner who wants to,get more booked appointments using tick,tock advertising well,i spent two thousand and thirteen,dollars on tick tock ads testing booked,appointments for my agency so that you,didn't have to so make sure you like,comment and subscribe we're going to go,over the results i'm going to show you,my personal opinion on this um what kind,of landing page you should be using,you know the the kind of ads the,verbiage i'm going to show you,everything inside of what i'm doing,right now um i know a lot of you guys,follow me and you're probably like wait,you only spend two grand you spend so,much more well joe well here's the thing,i only tested it out for like 200 a day,for about maybe a week and a half so,we're just gonna go through the results,here um i'm gonna be starting these ads,back up probably in the next couple of,days um i kind of want to do this review,video with you everybody so you can see,cost per click you can see cost per,booked call and how it's actually very,efficient because,with this two thousand dollars,i was able to book 29 booked calls which,is actually a lot for an agency um so 29,booked calls that means that you know if,you're running an agency you should be,charging at least 2k a month for you,know some of your higher ticket services,to the point where like you got to close,one out of these 29 people or you should,be closing three to five out of these 29,people,closing three to five you should be at a,three to four row as of this amount so,it actually is very very profitable but,it's got to be done the right way my,cost per click though is so low and,you're thinking well you must be getting,a lot of leads well we have gotten,a lot of leads so the lead quality,has not been that great from tick tock,um i am also running youtube as well but,i don't have enough data yet to show you,guys for that so i'll be showing you as,well um but i kind of want to hop into,this campaign here so uh let's get right,into the ad group level so i was running,two ad groups um one i was spending 125,a day,and then the other one i was spending,about a hundred bucks about 225 a day um,this one spent 1200 spent 800 and look,at the difference in the cost per click,here okay i'm almost paying four times,more there but my cost per booked call,was actually a lot higher over here so,this means that they're just more high,quality people okay um that's just what,i've been able to take from this,campaign i had over 3 600 clicks which,is a lot of data that i can obviously,push to facebook too because all these,people are coming through the tick tock,pixel but,also my facebook pixel picking it up and,i'm retargeting audiences are even,bigger so now i'm an omnipresent i'm all,over the place i can target you on,facebook if you leave tiktok i can hit,you on youtube if you leave facebook and,tick tock as well for google tag manager,um,if you hear that scurrying in the,background that is my dog so,yeah so this first audience here that i,got you know more booked calls we're,gonna hop right into this,and show you the exact targeting that,i'm doing,okay website i got my pixel automatic,placement user comment,okay we're doing location is us,um we're also doing,gender all okay and i'm doing 1824. i'm,not doing 13 to 17. i do not think you,should be doing that i just kept it very,broad to start all languages and then,here's some of my interests marketing,and advertising social media ads google,ads advertising and tick tock social ads,effective advertising all these in you,know advertising based pr keywords even,email start your business branding,like clothing accessories e-commerce,people who might have shopify stores for,clothing online courses maybe people,running a webinar we can run ads for,them and then we also did this people,who watch videos of the following,marketing tips marketing agency facebook,ads marketing strategy shopify tips,shopify drop shipping marketing tick,tock we picked those as well targeting,expansion we did age and interest and,then daily budget was 100 bucks,um day parting all day,okay,now i'm going to hop into this ad group,and this was the one that had a higher,cost per book to call okay so this one,we did,same age group but we just did less,interest,like less interest of the one that we,just had,and then we also did the same hashtags,we enabled target expansion and i kind,of want to get into the ads for each of,these because there actually might be a,difference in the messaging okay so this,ad well this ad group,these ads we're going to,let me see here,this one was getting seven dollars a,booked call oh my god,i did not see that okay so we're going,to go to that ad actually that one,that's getting that one's got eight,conversions that's nuts so i want to see,the landing page i do have two landing,pages and i kind of want to go over this,with you so you kind of have more,context and understand where i'm coming,from,um lessen some of these tabs,okay,start running profitable ads

i've been talking a lot in my videos,recently about how i'm finding facebook,ads a lot less reliable when it comes to,lead generation and reliable in general,when it comes to advertising,but just a regular lead,magnus lead magnet thing and they're,going into my crm i use drip and then,they're going into an email sequence,to book a call with me obviously you,know to help join my ignite program to,help people build their videos their,build their business with video,and so what i'm doing on tik tok is,that's where i'm drawing like driving my,cold traffic here and i'm going to take,you inside of that,right now and then we'll go through um,after i show you the what what it looks,like here i'm gonna take you inside and,give you an exact process that you can,copy and paste and follow for yourself,so that you can start driving leads,through,uh through through tick tock ads so let,me show you what i'm seeing here,so this is my tick tock ads account,and,um i've been that's the ad level let's,go to the campaign level and i've been,doing a lot of testing and i'm still,testing to be honest with you,but here are the numbers that i am,looking at,so,fourteen thousand impressions on this so,far point four five percent clicks your,rate i'm actually seeing that tick tock,click-through rates are much lower than,the sort of regular one percent,benchmark that we're used to looking,used to looking uh used to looking at,used to be looking at what's wrong with,my what's wrong with the way that i'm,speaking,um,and you see it's a 11 cpa that's,relatively normal in business to,business um and i'm i'm not i'm not in,love with it i'd rather it was somewhere,close to seven or eight,but,on facebook you're lucky to get 20 21 22,these days because of the cpm and look,at my cpm number for b2b here,12.51 usd in all of my tests on facebook,and instagram ads over the past month i,have struggled so much to get cpms which,is the cost of advertising costs to,reach a thousand people,under,literally 60 70,and we're talking about 12 on tick tock,and i actually think this could be quite,improved and it probably it's better as,you drill down so this is the camp this,is the uh this is the campaign and i'm,running this to my you guys can get it,for free here if you just if you just,click the link this is what i'm running,a lead magnet to,but um,you can see here i tried a few different,audiences wasn't loving what i was,seeing and some of the other stuff tick,tock is very touchy about things getting,approved or not and what they like to do,is this,they like to half approve things it's,really weird but i don't see any impact,myself i'll let you know if i do see,impact but i'm actually not seeing any,impact from this partial,it's very strange it's very strange,um so you can see for this,um i spent 138 dollars here two dollar,cost per click or 267 cost per click,12 cpms 52 clicks point four six percent,ctr,uh 13 conversions at 10 68 right and,it's actually more than that because,data and ios 14 and all this stuff um,which is a 25 conversion rate et cetera,et cetera i'm also split testing landing,pages on the back end as well because i,always do that usually very different,landing pages and again as i said we're,sort of early on in this,and the numbers are not blowing you away,i'm sure but they are,really good compared to it's similar to,what you used to be able to get running,facebook and instagram ads,um and you just like you can't do that,now,um 2.40 costs so now as we drill down in,the creative so i tested a very short,creative,um,can i pre i can the opportunity here now tik tok was the most ,downloaded app in 2020 with 850 million downloads
okay tiktok has 1.1 billion active users worldwide ,with 90 of users using the app multiple times per
day so we can get ourselves in front of our ideal ,customer multiple times a day on average now as
of january 2021 tick tock raked in 128 million in ,user spending marking an increase of 380 from its
january 2020 revenue so it's growing year on year ,almost 4x in user revenue now take top ranks
as the second biggest app in consumer spend ,above youtube disney plus and netflix this
is probably the uh the biggest stat on this ,screen ranking above youtube and netflix in
consumer spend is absolutely ridiculous so ,it's a monumental opportunity for people and
businesses to sell their products on the platform ,how many times have you spoken to someone they've
said ah i found that product on tick tock it's ,happening a lot these days so let's jump on to how
you can actually make the most of that so this is ,the tick tock ad structure so at the top we have
tick tocks ad manager then we have ad campaigns ,we have ad groups we have ad creative and then
landing pages to break these down one by one tick ,doc ads manager is where you manage your ticktock
advertising account similar to the facebook ,ad manager now a ad campaign is the foundation
of your ad so we're setting up our advertising ,objectives and formats we then have ad group which
is target audiences ad placements budget and the ,bidding then we have the ad creative which is
the text and the video that will appear on our ,apps what we're physically seeing then finally our
landing page and this is the destination url that ,we are driving our potential customers too this
is the place where they will actually buy our ,products or service so when you actually have your
tick tock ad account up and running this is kind ,of what the format will look like we have our ad
manager at the top we have campaigns beneath that ,then inside an ad campaign we would have multiple
ad groups so we'll be testing out multiple ,audiences and inside those audiences we may even
be testing out multiple different ad creatives ,as well so what are the actual creative the the
creative formats that we can use on tick tock well ,we have top view on the left hand side here which
is like a full-size video which shows up when we ,launch the app we don't have brand tank takeover
now these are the most expensive tic toc ads and ,very large brands use these and again these come
up right at the start of launching the app and it ,takes over the entire screen then have in feed ads

hey guys so i'm getting a lot of,questions on how to set up an ad account,and how to set up an agency account and,business center and issues with um ad,accounts not spending so i wanted to,just jump in here and give you guys a,brief overview of how to create if,you're running ads for clients or you,want to run ads for clients then what,you're going to need is this agency,business center account so it's very,similar to if you're familiar with,facebook at all it's very similar to the,business manager in facebook so for,example we use an agency business,manager,inside of our facebook account and with,that agency business manager,we request access we request partner,access to all of our clients ad accounts,so that means that we don't have to,create the ad accounts for them we don't,have to have ownership of the ad,accounts and if and when the,relationship um you know separates and,maybe they bring it in house or they,stop running ads they can just take all,the information and,they own that asset so it's very,important to have your own ad account,and if you and for your clients to have,their own ad accounts and,if you are an agency running ads for,clients you do not want to be creating,the ad accounts for them under your,business center um because as far as i,know you can only create one ad account,per business center that might change um,in the future it may have already,changed but i know for us we could only,create one ourselves so,what i did is i did a lot of research,because i was really confused about this,as well and i know friends of mine who,are facebook marketers by trade and now,getting into tick tock marketing are,having some issues with this too so i,kind of did like a deep dive one,afternoon to figure it out i watched a,lot of youtube videos and because they,have these the way that it's structured,is a little bit differently than um than,facebook because they have um a few,different like types of business center,accounts,and like one for solo businesses another,for agencies that are managing multiple,different accounts so this is,specifically for,agency business centers where you're,managing multiple different ad accounts,and you need to request access to those,accounts so you can manage them inside,of your business center so,um i have got the two articles that i,used to,walk myself step by step through the,setup process heavily reliant on facebook because it's such an ,incredible marketing tool but lots of people are
getting heaps of success with the new entertaining ,nature of tick tock ads so it might be perfect
for your brand this video is perfect for beginners ,we're not going to skip any steps but i'm also
going to go into some advanced things around ,content because that is so important to make sure
that you make tick tock ads work the first step ,you're going to want to do is set up your shopify
store if you haven't set up your shopify store ,just pause the video click the link in my bio and

in shopify the best way to go is go into apps and ,just write in tiktok simply download the official
tiktok app and click add sales channel this is the ,exact same as facebook nowadays this will bring
up this little tick tock section down on the left ,hand store of your shopify store if you don't have

up we can click this section here setting up the ,pixel the next step you can see that it's saying
connect tick tock for business this is where you ,need a new tick tock account already have a tick
tock business account you can just click connect ,but today we're gonna have to create a brand new
one so i'm just gonna click create new at the top ,enter my email address get the verification code
sent into the verification code here agree to ,terms and conditions and just click sign up you
can click connect down the bottom right and that's ,now created an ads manager business manager under
that email we can click create new ad account and ,we can select the country and the currency that we
want to be built in this is generally the region ,that you want to be targeting change the business
name to something a little bit simpler click sign ,up and connect you'll come to this data sharing
section which we've touched on a few times in my ,previous episodes just click enhanced or maximum
providing you've got the terms and conditions set ,up for something and then click confirm maximum

like facebook there's something called tic toc ,pixel helper and it's a chrome extension that you
can download and check if your pixel is firing ,on your website if it's not you may need to go
and fix that initially just download the chrome ,extension and you can see that our tick tock pixel
is set up here shopify set it up for us and it ,should be firing this is a page view because we're
on a page when you add a product to cart it should ,fire the add to cart pixel or if someone purchases
you can test a purchase and it will also fire that ,pixel in the exact right way so now we're in
the tiktok ads account we can go ahead and ,create our first campaign campaign structures
are really important to talk about it's what ,separates good advertisers from bad advertisers
that alongside really effective marketing content ,the basic structure is you have a campaign which
is what objective you are striving for if you've ,got something like a real estate business
it might be leads you're trying to collect ,leads but we've got a e-commerce business
