start,advertising on tech talk to people in,the us i'm going to show you exactly how,to get account and surprisingly enough,you do not even need,u.s phone number like more most gurus,tell you to actually get that done on,the other hand if you are based in the,us and you want to start advertising to,uk australia new zealand or wherever,else that video is going to help you get,the accounts you need to do that stay,tuned,welcome back guys welcome to the channel,if you're new here my name is jacob,wikowski and in this channel i document,my journey of starting new dropshipping,stores basically to see if dropshipping,is still alive in 20 and 22. so on the,beginning of this year i decided to,devote most of my time and most of my,money into creating new stores to see,again if it's possible to make money,with drop shipping and to be honest with,you for the first seven months of my,journey i didn't win anything i've lost,over 18 000,probably tested 20 25 different products,nothing worked for me until about four,weeks ago i found first true winning,product that actually brings me,consistent profit and right now i'm,averaging between two to even 500 profit,every single day so this changed a lot,for me now i'm in the phase where i'm,transitioning or scaling,and not only running ads to us-based,customers but now i moved a couple days,ago to uk as well which is doing great,for me but this basically begs the,question,how did i create multiple different,accounts to be able to target multiple,different countries with tiktok because,as you know tick tock only allows you to,target the countries where you are based,or the surrounding countries if you like,however if you're based in europe you,will not be able,by the default to target us-based,customers and vice versa so in this,video i'm going to share with you,exactly how i was able to create,my first us-based account now it's worth,to mention that my very first us-based,account,i didn't create it myself i've actually,paid 50 for it on app work i found one,person who were was basically creating,those accounts and after he created that,account he didn't even needed my,telephone number or he didn't need us,telephone number for to create my,account so,that was pretty interesting to me,because most of gurus on youtube tell,you that you need to have us-based,telephone number and all those different,things to be able to create your account,all i needed to do is to have a vpn and,change my ip to us,and then,basically,go ahead with an email i had and i used,my uk uh telephone number and that,seemed to do the trick so,we're in my computer right now like i,said all you need is vpn and email,address that have not been used with,tiktok yet so,when it comes to vpn i'm using nordvpn,and fun fact you only need it when,creating an account now,after i create the account i've never,used this vpn to login into my account i,logged in from my normal usual,ip address from my internet provider and,i never had any issues so,even if you have to buy a paid version,of nordvpn i think it will cost you,under 10 dollars per month and you only,really need it once you don't need to,keep this subscription to keep logging,into your account so that's what i did,vpn is nord,vpn i'm connected to united states right,now so go ahead and create a new account,so what you need to do is to go to,ticktalk.com forward slash business it,will redirect you to us,page,but you have to have vpn,active and then basically click click on,create new account so this will take you,to a form that you need to fill out with,your details,and again make sure that you have an,email address that have not been used,with tick tock yet,okay so we're on the sign up page so,what you need to do is to just use your,email 123,gmail.com and then from here obviously,choose your password,and then click on send code and this,will send a verification code to this,email address that you have provided so,let's see,all right there's one more step the,verification to see if you're not a,robot,and that's it so let's go ahead,move on to my email and see if we will,received,email from tiktok there it is,go back here,paste,agree to their terms and conditions and,sign up,okay so us is where we want to target,the country that we want to target,industry obviously e-commerce you can,choose any sub-category in here i think,because you will be testing multiple,products anyway so,choose anything business name if you,don't have a business and then i,probably assume that you would be using,your own name,uh right here,okay time zone and telephone number now,i personally left it as a us plus one,code um just to not give tick tock any,i don't know doubt that i'm based in the,uk and then what i did is i simply put,in my,normal uk telephone number here,three oh,there you go and i left th

so i was just doing this uh consulting,call with a client of mine this morning,and saw this really cool new feature,which i actually haven't heard um from,our episode our team usually we get a,kind of monthly newsletter to agencies,with all the beta features and we have a,weekly call with our rep team over at,tick tock,and they usually always kind of send us,like hey here's new things coming down,the pipeline and this is a feature that,i actually haven't heard about from,anybody i know at tiktok which makes it,that much more fun and exciting because,it just kind of pops up and this is,what's cool about tick tock i talk about,a lot all the time right like innovation,i think out of all the ad platforms out,there they are rolling out the most new,stuff the most frequently the most,updates and also the most useful and,interesting stuff right,so what i'm gonna show you right now is,what i saw this morning and uh without,further ado let's just dive in but as,always make sure to hit the subscribe,button hit the little bell so you get,all my videos and you don't miss out on,these new features new updates are,happening so let's hit the uh the share,screen over here on the stream deck,there we go so uh here's what i saw on,the call this morning when i was,scrolling through and i only see this on,one i looked at a bunch of other,accounts and don't see it anywhere else,so i'm curious if you guys right now for,watching this and you have this little,purchase intention toggle in your ads,manager under ad groups drop a comment,let me know if you have it there i'm,curious how many people actually have,this feature in there and who's actually,test i have not tested it yet,but i just wanted to shoot a video,sharing cause i think it's very,interesting and telling of where tick,tock is going in terms of new features,and new updates so anyway,we're in ad groups and um,and again this is a consulting client,that i was kind of looking at their,their stuff and and saw this so,usually when you open this interest box,up there's just interest you put in here,right but now there's this little thing,right here that says define what level,of interest they have their general,interest which is basically what it's,always been which is hey anybody that,kind of relates to these buckets so hey,people that like dramas people like uh,you know car news or home design or,toners or suits whatever these you know,options are here and then you have this,purchase intention little toggle here,and when you hover over it what it says,is,only target people whose recent behavior,suggests they may buy something related,to a content category audiences will be,narrower for this option and some,categories may not be available so when,i was messing around with this when you,toggle it a lot of these disappear so,there's not a lot of targeting options,however um there's still quite a few and,they're going to be smaller though so if,you have an interest category maybe,you've got 25 30 million people in it,when you toggle purchase intention the,audience might drop to one to three,million that's kind of what i saw when i,was messing around with this earlier now,what's cool about this and again i'm,going to go back because there's no real,there's nothing else to really show,there so we'll go back to the full full,screen here,so basically what this feature seems to,be doing is it's kind of like remember,with facebook when they roll that engage,shoppers which is basically like an,audience on facebook of people that have,recently kind of clicked ads and bought,things it seems to be that that's kind,of tick tock's version of engaged,shoppers but taking up a level because,now it's kind of engage shoppers,in specific interest categories so it's,kind of adding an extra layer of,relevance there so basically we have is,hey,if i'm targeting people that are,interested in digital marketing right so,digital marketing interest or the,marketing advertising interest which is,you know 30 40 million people it's a big,audience on tick tock if i then click,purchase intention,tick tock basically looking at the,people,that are in that audience that are,interested in marketing advertising,looking at their behavior on the app,again i don't know what qualifies i,don't know what the behavior is yeah i,can talk about reps about it though um,but i'd imagine it's a combination of,them,kind of engaging with ads from people,targeting the similar interests and then,actually buying things,or something similar to that so you're,getting a much higher quality,click you're getting a much higher,quality impression you're getting in,front of people that are actually buying,things and not just watching or clicking,things,now in terms of what the performance,looks like here in terms of what the,costs look like the cpms are a lot,higher i don't have that data yet um i,literally just saw that this feature,this morning and then said hey let's,shoot a video and tell people about it i,think it's very interesting u

how's it going everybody corbin here,from zoco marketing in today's video we,are going over tick-tock targeting,options all the options that you have,inside of tick tock there are some,really unique options inside of here so,we're going to be taking a deep dive and,on how to use all of them so let's jump,right in so the first thing you will,need is obviously a tick tock's ad,manager,and all the targeting inside of tick,tock happens inside of the ad group,level so you'll need to go and create a,campaign and come into the as ad group,level for the purpose of this tutorial,tutorial i will just be focusing on the,targeting options i'm not going to go,through the other settings inside the,campaign options if you wanted a full,tutorial on how to set up a tick tock um,campaign you can check out this video up,above but for this one we're going to be,taking a very deep dive into the,targeting option so the first thing we,have here is our ad group name which i,uh named targeting options uh in,preparation for this video and with the,prototype we're gonna have website and,then here's where we get to our first,targeting option which is placements,you'll notice that the default option is,automatic placements which means you'll,show on all of the different placements,that ticktock deems worthy for your ads,that if but you also have this option,here for select payments you can choose,to show on tick tock or any of these,other two,places as well just keep in mind that,not all of these networks are available,in every single country so if you are,wanting to target a multitude of,countries a multitude multiple countries,make sure that you go through and check,which placements have have targeting for,specific countries i know that some,places in europe don't i don't have some,of these placements so just keep that in,mind you know if you wanted to just only,show on tick tock you come through and,obviously just uh click on those but for,now we're going to stick with the,automatic placements now i also do want,to call your attention as we go in,through this video you'll notice all,over here that very similar to facebook,is tiktaka's does give you kind of a,broad or a gauge to let you know how,broad your audience is or how specific,or how narrow and it also gives you this,targeting summary as i move my head out,of the way here and i'm still going to,be in the way and it gives you the,location and some other options inside,of there so pay attention to that as,you're going through the targeting,options because it will give you an idea,of how narrow or how broad your audience,is currently is and this will change as,we go through and edit the audiences as,well just something i want to point out,to you as we're going through this,so when you are creating tic toc ads i,do recommend keeping user comments,available uh you want your ads to be as,native looking to the platform like an,organic posting as possible and if you,don't allow people to comment on your,ads then,it's just kind of a red flag right users,kind of notice those things and they,think hey why isn't why in their,comments below so make sure you allow,comments video downloads so there's that,next now we get to what this video is,actually about which is the targeting,now inside of the targeting you have,audience targeting you have demographic,targeting you have interest and behavior,targeting and you have device targeting,we're gonna go through all of the,options here and talk about how you can,utilize some of them,as well so we're gonna start first with,the audience targeting now the audience,targeting if you come from a facebook or,linkedin has this as well this is where,you can create custom audiences or look,like audiences and how you do that is,you come in here and you can click down,and you'll notice that i don't have any,populated currently in this because just,because this is a demo account we're,going to come in here to create new,and it's going to take us to our,audience manager once again very similar,to facebook and right here is the in,this drop down is where you can create a,custom audience or a look like audience,so we're going to go through like we're,creating a custom audience here we're,going to click this down and you'll,notice that there are five different,options inside of here you can upload a,customer file and target current,customers so you wanted to you had an,ecommerce store and you wanted to upsell,those customers you could upload that,list here you could run an engagement,campaign people who saw or clicked on or,engaged on any of your content on tiktok,so say somebody watched your video 75,through you could then remarket to those,people you could create an app activity,this is of course for those who of you,who own apps and want to run advertising,for apps and then we have website,traffic this is if you have the tick,tock pixel installed on your website and,that is cooking people and then you can,go and run remarketing campaigns them if,you want to le

tick tock ads is one of the newer,advertising platforms to us and by new,i mean that as recently as a year ago,most people couldn't get into the,platform,i know i couldn't so odds are if you're,watching this video or,just in general you probably don't know,all the targeting options that are,available,on tiktok the good news is that some of,them like lookalike audiences,and interest targeting are going to feel,really similar to a lot of the other,platforms that we already use,like facebook and google and linkedin,all of those other ones,but there are some that are unique to,tick-tock like some behavior targeting,and some other pieces that are in there,so in this video i'm going to go through,all the different targeting options you,have available in a tik-tok ads campaign,all of the targeting for a tick-tock ad,campaign lives at the ad group level so,i've gone ahead and created a,placeholder campaign,we're in a placeholder ad group and it's,got this terrible number,name that's already associated with it,i'm going to skip over anything that's,not based on a targeting option so if,you see something that's in here,that you wanted me to cover i'll,probably be covering in a future video,just a heads up the first type of,targeting that we come across,in the ad group setup is going to be,around the placements that we can target,on the ticktalk network you can see here,that tiktok sets you up for automatic,placement but you can choose select,placement,when i do that it's going to open up,this check box system that effectively,shows you the four different apps that,are part of the tick tock network,there's tick tock itself,and there are three additional apps that,have different,reach depending on different countries,as you can see the third one down,advertising is only currently available,in india one thing i want you to keep in,mind is that,the targeting options for placements as,well as different countries on tick tock,can be relatively limited,based on where your account is located,so i'm going to hop into a help article,really quick because i want to show you,how these different app placements and,your country targeting will be impacted,based on where you've set up your,campaigns,the best part of this help article is,this table down below,it says the following table shows the,targeting options that are available,for tick tock and the additional,placements based on the registered,country or region of the ad account,so basically what we want to do is think,about where your,ad account is registered mine is,registered in the united states so i'm,going to look at this first line here,if you're registered in australia or,registered in the united kingdom you,would start looking at these individual,lines,you can then see which countries and,platforms you can target,based on the additional three columns in,this table so for the united states,on tick tock i can target the us and,canada japan,and a number of other countries for the,secondary and third placements,there are different countries listed in,here as well but you'll notice that i,can,only target the us and canada and any of,the countries here,since my account is based from the,united states i cannot target,australia the united kingdom france any,of those additional countries,so if you were looking to have an,international reach and you're based in,the united states,that international reach is going to be,limited based on the countries that you,find in this,table so before you set up an ad account,before you promise something to a client,make sure that you actually can reach,the target audience that they want,based on the countries that are listed,here one key takeaway for our placement,targeting,is that the only place that the us and,canada show up for my targeting,is on tick tock the other platforms are,not showing up and even in the previous,screen that we saw said that that,placement was only available for india,so even if i choose automatic placements,i'm still only going to show up on,tiktok it is very important that you,know which countries can support which,platforms before you opt into,automatic or select placement targeting,if you decide that you do,or don't want to be included on a,certain platform you can,come in here and just uncheck the boxes,next to them and you would show up only,on the ticktalk and newsfeed app series,apps for the sake of this video just to,keep things simple i'm just going to,revert back to automatic placements,now like i said i'm going to skip past,anything that's not around targeting so,sorry for those other things,we're going to jump down to the actual,targeting section and this is going to,be where we're going to spend the rest,of our time,in this demo the first section we have,here is going to be based on,audiences and these are the types of,audiences that we can build,just in the same way we can build,retargeting campaigns customer uploads,on any of the welcome back to the podcast everybody,i'm excited for my guest my good friend,andrew carlson coming all the way from,los angeles andrew is,a expert and influencer and he helps,experts and influencers show up,confidently in business,eliminating productivity panic,technology overwhelm,and creator burnout he's been doing a,really good job on tick tock so i wanted,to have him come on here,pick his brain a little bit ask him what,you should be doing on tick tock,and maybe even what i should be doing on,tik tok so andrew thank you so much for,joining me on the podcast i,very much appreciate it thanks so much,for having me on the podcast bruce i'm,super excited about it,you know we've been friends for a while,now uh and i've been watching what,you're doing,and following your advice that you've,been giving inside of the tick tock,facebook group,and you know i've been always curious,about tick tock i've been watching it,for a little bit now,but i've never really figured it out,never really figured out how i could,leverage it and not only,myself but like how could businesses,leverage it so i said you know what,andrew's gone from zero to what you have,over a hundred thousand followers now on,tick tock,you've experimented with a whole bunch,of different things you've shown a bunch,of people what they should be doing so,who better to have come on the podcast,and kind of join and share some tips on,tick tock than you so i very much,appreciate you doing it,yeah absolutely i'm super excited i love,the platform so anything i can share and,help with to understand it better,because,it's a confusing platform if you've,never seen it before 100,especially if you're not like native to,the whole atmosphere of tiktok now,give a little background about what,you're up to right now sure absolutely,so i kind of took tick tock i used to,work in the restaurant consulting,business,learned marketing i really understood,how to leverage social media for,businesses,and then i was like okay i got burnt up,from the restaurant industry i was,struggling through things mentally and i,said okay i need to figure out the next,step what's my next evolution of,business,and it kind of went back to the roots of,what i was doing was when i've been,trained in nlp and trained in,hypnotherapy i was like,there is a lot of mental health stuff,going on that i want to really help,bring forward of how the mind actually,works so,what better way to utilize that than,social media especially with everything,that we've been going through the last,few months it's like,going on a tick tock that's the next,generation that's a younger generation,it's not people that are in their 50s,and 60s where they're hanging out,it's like the 12 to 18 year olds and,what's really cool is that,the biggest group of people on the,platform are between the ages of,18 to 35 and now it's actually allowed,for,old the older generation to actually pop,on the platform but i've really,switched gears into more people,understand it as life coaching but it's,more breakthrough coaching,because i actually help people process,how the mind works,and then we're able to shift through,that and then the influencer realm all,my,industry knowledge of business helping,influencers actually,shift from just allowing themselves to,have a platform and make money through,brand sponsorships to actually,building a business outside of that so,if something were to happen tomorrow,with tick tock,or youtube or anything they would still,have a business today,that's smart because you know these,platforms come and go um and you know,facebook and instagram have been around,for a little while those are the ones,everybody really knows but,you know these platforms they come and,go and you never know,if they're going to be really hot today,and gone tomorrow and you see a lot of,the people,who build up these followings and,they're solely reliant on that one,platform so it's a smart strategy to be,able to kind of like pull people off and,be able to,monetize and grow their businesses,without being reliant on that platform,mm-hmm so why tick-tock for you like,what made you,attracted to tick-tock and get started,on that platform,so tick tock started off i learned about,it back in october,and it was one of those things where i,downloaded it and i was,weirded out i opened up the app and they,were like,they were like 15 year old girl dancing,and,like stuff that didn't really make sense,and i was trying to scroll through it,i'm like,what makes this platform so attractive,to people,and i got sucked in like when i got,sucked in i got sucked in by all of,these trends because they're unique,they're fun,yeah i don't know exactly what trend it,was but,they were just it was different it was,something refreshing it wasn't,a perfect instagram photo with a caption,and like hashtag blessed,it wasn't facebook where you're just,seeing sponsored ad after sponsored ad,it was something that was raw real and,just,wasn't filtered and i was like okay,that's

i've been talking a lot in my videos,recently about how i'm finding facebook,ads a lot less reliable when it comes to,lead generation and reliable in general,when it comes to advertising,but advertising helps fuel the fire if,you watch my video subscribe to go and,get that if you if you watch my video,the other day where i talked about my,new campfire methodology,which talks about the new that drives everything it's,going to be i believe and what i'm,seeing in testing you're going to have,to spend a little bit of money on ads,and using organic to sort of blow,everything up there's a whole,methodology and training on that in that,blueprint if you grab it there,and what i'm using lately and having,success with is tick tock and,i've been testing facebook ads right,alongside it just to make sure that i,wasn't seeing the wrong numbers or,whatever it might be and while my tick,tock ad numbers are not exactly,mind-blowing,they are massively better than facebook,and they also are much more in line with,what i was willing to pay for similar,ads on facebook before so what i'm going,to show you in this video today is how,to run a lead generation campaign on,tiktok to build your email list i'm,going to show you exactly what i'm doing,all right okay so let's jump right into,it um so basically what i'm doing is i'm,driving leads to a very specific offer,it's just a download just a regular lead,magnus lead magnet thing and they're,going into my crm i use drip and then,they're going into an email sequence,to book a call with me obviously you,know to help join my ignite program to,help people build their videos their,build their business with video,and so what i'm doing on tik tok is,that's where i'm drawing like driving my,cold traffic here and i'm going to take,you inside of that,right now and then we'll go through um,after i show you the what what it looks,like here i'm gonna take you inside and,give you an exact process that you can,copy and paste and follow for yourself,so that you can start driving leads,through,uh through through tick tock ads so let,me show you what i'm seeing here,so this is my tick tock ads account,and,um i've been that's the ad level let's,go to the campaign level and i've been,doing a lot of testing and i'm still,testing to be honest with you,but here are the numbers that i am,looking at,so,fourteen thousand impressions on this so,far point four five percent clicks your,rate i'm actually seeing that tick tock,click-through rates are much lower than,the sort of regular one percent,benchmark that we're used to looking,used to looking uh used to looking at,used to be looking at what's wrong with,my what's wrong with the way that i'm,speaking,um,and you see it's a 11 cpa that's,relatively normal in business to,business um and i'm i'm not i'm not in,love with it i'd rather it was somewhere,close to seven or eight,but,on facebook you're lucky to get 20 21 22,these days because of the cpm and look,at my cpm number for b2b here,12.51 usd in all of my tests on facebook,and instagram ads over the past month i,have struggled so much to get cpms which,is the cost of advertising costs to,reach a thousand people,under,literally 60 70,and we're talking about 12 on tick tock,and i actually think this could be quite,improved and it probably it's better as,you drill down so this is the camp this,is the uh this is the campaign and i'm,running this to my you guys can get it,for free here if you just if you just,click the link this is what i'm running,a lead magnet to,but um,you can see here i tried a few different,audiences wasn't loving what i was,seeing and some of the other stuff tick,tock is very touchy about things getting,approved or not and what they like to do,is this,they like to half approve things it's,really weird but i don't see any impact,myself i'll let you know if i do see,impact but i'm actually not seeing any,impact from this partial,it's very strange it's very strange,um so you can see for this,um i spent 138 dollars here two dollar,cost per click or 267 cost per click,12 cpms 52 clicks point four six percent,ctr,uh 13 conversions at 10 68 right and,it's actually more than that because,data and ios 14 and all this stuff um,which is a 25 conversion rate et cetera,et cetera i'm also split testing landing,pages on the back end as well because i,always do that usually very different,landing pages and again as i said we're,sort of early on in this,and the numbers are not blowing you away,i'm sure but they are,really good compared to it's similar to,what you used to be able to get running,facebook and instagram ads,um and you just like you can't do that,now,um 2.40 costs so now as we drill down in,the creative so i tested a very short,creative,um,can i pre i can preview here i tested a,very very short creat

a,breakthrough video is generally a video,over a million views,what language you speak in your content,the language you write in your text,bubbles the hashtags that you use even,your audio selections
