worldwide  ,with 90 of users using the app multiple times per  day so we can get ourselves in front of our ideal  ,customer multiple times a day on average now as  of january 2021 tick tock raked in 128 million in  ,user spending marking an increase of 380 from its  january 2020 revenue so it's growing year on year  ,almost 4x in user revenue now take top ranks  as the second biggest app in consumer spend  ,above youtube disney plus and netflix this  is probably the uh the biggest stat on this  ,screen ranking above youtube and netflix in  consumer spend is absolutely ridiculous so  ,it's a monumental opportunity for people and  businesses to sell their products on the platform  ,how many times have you spoken to someone they've  said ah i found that product on tick tock it's  ,happening a lot these days so let's jump on to how  you can actually make the most of that so this is  ,the tick tock ad structure so at the top we have  tick tocks ad manager then we have ad campaigns  ,we have ad groups we have ad creative and then  landing pages to break these down one by one tick  ,doc ads manager is where you manage your ticktock  advertising account similar to the facebook  ,ad manager now a ad campaign is the foundation  of your ad so we're setting up our advertising  ,objectives and formats we then have ad group which  is target audiences ad placements budget and the  ,bidding then we have the ad creative which is  the text and the video that will appear on our  ,apps what we're physically seeing then finally our  landing page and this is the destination url that  ,we are driving our potential customers too this  is the place where they will actually buy our  ,products or service so when you actually have your  tick tock ad account up and running this is kind  ,of what the format will look like we have our ad  manager at the top we have campaigns beneath that  ,then inside an ad campaign we would have multiple  ad groups so we'll be testing out multiple  ,audiences and inside those audiences we may even  be testing out multiple different ad creatives  ,as well so what are the actual creative the the  creative formats that we can use on tick tock well  ,we have top view on the left hand side here which  is like a full-size video which shows up when we  ,launch the app we don't have brand tank takeover  now these are the most expensive tic toc ads and  ,very large brands use these and again these come  up right at the start of launching the app and it  ,takes over the entire screen then have in feed ads  this is what we're going to be what is going on guys today i'm going to,be teaching y'all how to,properly set up a tick tock ad,conversion campaign,i'm going to be setting it this up for a,client so i thought i'd bring you along,for the ride,so let's get right into it as you can,see here we are,in the tick tock ad manager at the,dashboard level what we're gonna do,is actually click up here on campaign,and now that we're here all we have to,do is click on create,so for those of y'all that don't,understand how this is structured it's,basically a three-tier system you have,the campaign level,the ad group level and the ad itself,which would be the creative level,uh right now at the campaign level we,have five different advertising,objectives we have reach,traffic app installs video views and,conversions,for this specific campaign i'm gonna be,optimizing for conversions,one thing that i do suggest is keeping,your naming,as cleanly as possible um,this is going to help you understand,what campaign,which campaign is which and which ad,group is which and i'll give you some,suggestions on best practices,on how to actually label those here in a,second i'm not going to be split testing,at this level right here,the reason being is because i'm going to,be using automated creative optimization,for this which essentially,builds out an endless amount of ads for,me instead of me having to do it,manually,and it's my understanding if i do a,manual split test here,i can only use one ad in each split in,each ad group,so that's not something that i want i'm,just going to be doing that manually,down the line and i'll show you how i do,that and budget,we're going to be setting that at the ad,group level,click continue,awesome so as you can tell we have a,really shabby,ad group name i'm gonna leave that for,the time being uh,when i actually get further down the,line i'll come back and i'll edit that,and i'll show you why,but let's talk about placements when it,comes to placements i do suggest that,you,untoggle everything except for tick-tock,specifically,because as you can see right here right,off the bat uh vigo i'm going to go,ahead and zoom this,in why is that 80 oh my okay uh,vigo is only available in india hello is,in india as well,and pangol is in japan korea and taiwan,so those aren't countries that i'm,looking to target for this specifically,i'll give you a little bit more,information about what this product is,here in a second,or just right now so essentially what,i'm looking to advertise,is a um i'm sending people to an opt-in,page,and i'm trying to capture their name and,email uh the reason being,is simply because i'm it's a freemium,model it's a chrome extension,that helps college kids or kids,transitioning into college,better apply for colleges and get into,better colleges so that's sort of the,demo that i'm going after,and that's just the model of their,business now that being said we have to,select,our tick-tock pixel for those of y'all,that don't know what a tick-tock pixel,is,very simply put it allows you to track,different events and conversions on your,site,if you don't have this installed yet i,made a separate video on that and i'm,going to go ahead and link it down below,in the description definitely check that,video out beforehand,make sure that that's properly installed,because without that you won't be able,to track your campaigns you won't be,able to track the conversions on your,campaigns and essentially you're just,throwing stuff,up against the wall and seeing if it,sticks so,we're going to go ahead and select that,and just a brief explanation,as to how these events are set up it's a,two-step process so,one would be the page view which is this,link the opt-in form,and then the second one is the form,submission so the form submission takes,them to like a thank you page,and whenever they actually land on that,thank you page this event is triggered,specifically,so we're going to optimize for the form,submission because that's what we,want name just go ahead and name it,whatever your business name is,very simple one thing to note you do not,need a tick tock account to advertise on,tick tock,you just need a tick tock ad account,it's not like instagram or facebook or,anything like that,go ahead and upload a profile image same,thing just a profile picture that,represents your business,open that,awesome now category these next two,things,are really to allow tick-tock to further,understand,what your product represents what your,service represents,and who you're actually trying to target,so we're going to try and be as specific,as possible as to,what this product does so,let's go ahead and go here to education,and training,and again this is going to be totally,contextual to the nature of your,business what and,one of these things is actually going to,see you know you see the amount of likes,the comments the shares the time you see,a little download button and you see one,of these little check boxes at the top,so let me select a couple ads that i,think let's say would be nice to review,right let's select that one here at the,top and let me pick um let's just say,this one right here so i can select,these both go to the tool at the top and,then it says ads collected two right,which are the two that i just selected,right here then download add data and,that's gonna export it to a csv so now,if i look at this csv i can see,basically pretty much everything about,that ad i can see the region so where it,was shot in or basically where it's,advertised in right now in the street,the objective of that campaign the,duration the ad the format obviously the,source the likes comments shares and,then a direct link to that so if you,want to quickly build a swipe file or at,least a database of ads that you find,interesting right and again that's the,that's the beauty with the top ads on,tick tock those are usually ads that are,working very well right now and then the,platform kind of pushes to the front to,show all the other advertisers out there,hey what is working right now on our,platform so browse through this find a,couple within your own industry right,you can actually filter that at the top,right if you're an apparel accessories,brand or again you can even open that up,and then select you know select all or a,specific product so basically filter,these ads based on your industry and,then from there build your simple,database with this tool is very easy to,do so now let's use the talk comment,tool this is actually on their own,website so it has its own hey everyone michael here with film,bodega and in this video i'm going to,show you a really easy trick for you to,preview how your instagram reels will be,cropped for the feed so i actually use a,series of guides inside of premiere pro,if you're not using premiere pro i also,have some png overlays that you can use,in final cut pro and davinci resolve,i'll leave a link down below so you can,download those and use them so you can,preview how your videos will get cropped,and make this a little bit easier for,everyone so here i am inside of premiere,pro and i am editing a instagram reel so,if i check my sequence settings this is,a 1080 by 1920 video which are the best,settings you want to use for reels and,tick tock 9 by 16 ratio what's cool,about instagram now is that the reels a,preview of your reel the first 30,seconds or so will now show up in the,instagram feed but the thing is they're,going to be cropped automatically to 4x5,that's 1080 by 1350 so to know where,instagram is going to crop this i,created my own guides to just turn on,and off now if you haven't seen the five,hidden tips and tricks in premiere pro,video i've covered these guides and,rulers before if you don't have these,icons you can add them here and then add,them to your little menu bar here but,what they do is create this photoshop,style,grid so you can bring in your own,guides to create things and line up and,see where text and things like that are,going to be placed but you can also,create custom guides so if i go to view,and i'm going to clear the guides i have,here and now i'm going to go back to,view,and if i go to,guide templates i've created my own,series of guides here so i have one for,my instagram reels uh and one for the,overlays for tick tock and instagram so,if i click this crop this is gonna apply,where instagram will crop out the video,inside of the feed so i can come in and,make sure that character's head doesn't,get cropped off or text or anything like,that that it stays in the safe space for,those first 30 seconds so if i just kind,of like scrub through this real quick,you'll see that his head's always in,place,and it looks pretty good and then you,can easily turn these off you just come,down to this menu,turn that off turn it back on and you'll,know where your crop is it's that simple,now it's very easy to make your own so,if i went to,go ahead and clear these out and you,want to make your own guides to save you,can just bring them in,and then you can go to view guides,template and then you can make your own,and save guides as a template i'll,include a link for you to download these,that i've made so you can just install,them and have access to them yourself so,to install these make sure you go into,your program monitor select it turn on,guides and rulers and then go to view,guide templates,and manage guides,then you'll just click on the import,button,go to the downloads find the guides and,then just select your guide layers and,open,you can rename these so they're easy to,find when you're done just hit ok,and so now if you go to view,guide templates you'll be able to see,all of these guides and just click and,turn on any of them if you look at let's,say let's add the,tick tock overlay what this one's,telling me is your real safe space is,here this is where most people on tick,tock and as well as instagram reels can,see what's happening in the screen and,then down here you'll have your captions,and your hashtags and the user interface,and then you have all your buttons here,so all of this area gets covered by,different ui,inside of the apps so you really want to,make sure that you're in this area with,your main subject now if you don't have,premiere pro i also have a series of,guides that i made as pngs so let's hop,over here to final cut pro and so here,we go we have our same vertical video so,i'm just going to import these pngs into,final cut and then i'm going to drag,them on top of my footage and so now i,can kind of just scrub through and see,where these videos will get cropped you,can also adjust the opacity on these so,you can just kind of turn them down and,up if you want to see through them a,little bit more,the downside of using these pngs is you,need to remember to turn them off so,either delete the layer or turn the,opacity all the way down so that when,you export your video the guide's not,there,that's not something you have to worry,about in premiere but,in another app if you're using these,overlays make sure when you're done with,them turn them back off or just hide,that layer hope you find that helpful,i'll leave a link down below so you can,download these guides and install them,in premiere pro as well as a link to the,png overlays i made so you can use these,in final cut and resolve see you in the,next one,bye,you

like you're getting ready  ,for a big football game or something like  that um but we also wanted this to go by  ,a little bit faster so that it was clear that  the main part of the video wasn't all about that  ,it was for black friday and so with black friday  we all know how intense actual shopping can get  ,so the play was that you think that someone's  getting ready for this intense race at first  ,but then you think oh they're going out and  going shopping for black friday but then instead  ,they stop before they leave the door and they  realize that they can just sit on the couch  ,and have everything delivered to them or we  can use afterpay to find the best deals all  ,in one place for everyone on our list so it'll  start with me walking in and then plopping down  ,yeah okay so should i just practice  the flopping yeah let's practice one,so let's talk about what you might still be in a  hurry at that point and then you realize it's easy  ,okay so what if i run past and then i like  realized that i don't have to go anywhere and  ,then i come sit down okay yeah i think this  is cute do you want to go can you film it,we gathered all of the items that we knew that  we wanted to use and so i had her first screen  ,record while scrolling to find each product and  then we screenshotted the product and created  ,masks around each of the products so we can bring  it into the video without a white background on  ,the picture so that it appeared to be floating  in the pink curtain i can just so every time the  ,thing beeps just go like this i'll just count  like and then we have to but no because then  ,we have to stop it put the object in my hand  but you stay still i'll grab the object okay  ,okay so i'm gonna like um open the after pay  app and then it'll show it like popping up  ,and then i'll start then maybe i'll type in a  search thing and then i'll start scrolling okay  ,so what we did was we had her sit on  the couch so i would have her reach  ,next to the product that was the image that  we had found online that was just floating  ,so i'll grab it and then it'll go from there the  table or what keep your hand there for a second  ,though so do it one more time keep your hand  there and i'm gonna run in and set it down so  ,you're in the exact same spot okay i would have  her freeze and i would pick up the real object  ,so the object would be up here and then i would  have her reach down and then it would pop and  ,appear on the table this was kind of a more fun  way to kind of click and drop into your cart the  ,thought was that you are reaching for the product  as if you're in a store but what we are conveying  ,is that it is easier you can reach for the product  on your phone and then it will just pop up next to  ,you and be delivered so the editing was probably  the hardest part in this but what made it a lot  ,easier was the fact that we had a really good  setup and knew exactly what we were doing with  ,filming and had a tripod set up so it would be a  little bit more difficult if she had to actually  ,stand up sit down and get in the exact same spot  but because we had two people it made it a little  ,bit easier in the end we ended up speeding up the  video a little bit more so that we could fit in  ,all of the products that we're using because we  use this more dramatic intro to the video we only  ,had a few seconds to really get the point across  so i also had her record audio so that i could  ,overlay that over the videos so that everyone that  gets a little bit distracted while watching videos  ,which is totally me they will be completely  entertained throughout the whole thing it took  ,us about three hours in total i would say that's  how we took a brand created a concept together and  ,we created a really fun video that it stands  out on her page compared to all the other ones  ,check out their curated gift lists from  black owned businesses small businesses  ,ethical and sustainable you,can do when you're selling anything on,tick tock,this one,eat better spend less there you go quick,cuts,all that good stuff,another one here,laser hair removal so how do you,how do you sell that you put a one of,these trending tick tock dances you get,to hear employees do it and then it,works,so the key with this this one especially,is it does not look like an ad and when,it doesn't look like an ad,that is the best one so something like,this with a plate,this doesn't even look like an ad,this is an ad for hellofresh,which i've actually used and i don't,like it because you gotta cook and it,takes like half an hour to cook this,stuff,but the the ingredients are good and the,recipes are good,but it like they started off,that ad as not an ad and then they kind,of turned to instantly yeah that's an ad,so the first three seconds of this are,what count like this one,for most over,that is a good one because they've got,the little common thing on top,which is really easy to do,and then they've got a big reaction,another big reaction a unboxing and a,reaction like this you don't know really,that this is an ad,when you look at it and that's what you,want and so they're selling,those portrait things and this gifts and,flowers guy he's gonna store,uh he's selling he's running a ton of,these tick tock ads,and all he did was pull these raw,footage videos from the internet,put them together and then when you,click through it'll go to his store,where they're actually selling those,here's another one uh anyway there's a,whole bunch but,you can sort by united states,conversions and then here if you go,um last seven days is going to give you,the most popular but last 30 days it's,gonna give you even more,so you can see if an ad is running for,quite a while like this corset one,so she's,anything with,a woman talking to the camera is gonna,get people scroll even this one,pet hair resistant leggings,yeah so i mean it doesn't look like an,ad but the the voice over is totally odd,so all this stuff is just really good,something like,this for solar panels,you just see any bottom,a very good way to do it so we got to,think about this how can we use this for,the products that we're selling well,there's some necklaces,this in this case this is not very good,because it looks like an ad,way too much like an ad so,if you're going to run tick tock ads the,ultimate uh there's two rules two main,rules number one make tick tocks not ads,and number two buy the product and have,it in your hand so that you have raw,footage and then you can use that raw,footage inside the app,to create your ads that are actually 11,to 15 seconds long and they don't look,like hats so that'll help you out quite,a bit just going back up here for a,second,there's others here uh you can tell,which ones you can sort by uh say let's,go last seven days,and we want to sort by uploaded that,means they weren't created on tick tock,they were actually created off tick tock,and they were uploaded to
