hey what is up guys it's Brennan here,and today I'm going to be showing you,how to add product reviews on your home,page on Shopify so as you can see here,this is the home page on this Shopify,store here for tutorials and as you can,see here the reviews are displaying on,the home page now this will take a,conglomerate of all of your different,product reviews on your online store and,put it here in a nice little widget,which slides and shows off many of the,different product reviews that you have,on your online store even for a variety,of different products so that's going to,be showing you here in this tutorial,today now first things first step one,before we dive into things I do want to,mention that first link down in the,description box below if you don't,already have a Shopify store you can go,ahead and get a set up with a Shopify,free trial that's brentaleski.com,Shopify will take you right over to a,Shopify free trial once again that's,that first link down in the description,box below I'll take you over to a,Shopify free trial and without further,Ado let's go ahead and dive into the,tutorials so first thing before you even,get started with trying to add reviews,to your home page you will need a review,app for Shopify the first one I'm going,to mention which I'm going to mention,too in this video because really you,just need a Shopify review app it,doesn't necessarily have to be a,specific product review app it's just a,product review app now there's a bunch,of different Shopify product review apps,out there on the Shopify App Store I,have a video going over some of the best,ones I'll leave a link down in the,description box below to that best of,list as well but this one specifically,is just the one developed by Shopify the,product reviews app by Shopify again,it's completely for free and developed,directly from Shopify you will need to,add this app to your Shopify store if,you want to add those product reviews to,your Shopify store and specifically of,course on the home page now like I,mentioned it doesn't necessarily have to,be this product reviews app this is just,one of them I do also have a tutorial if,you want to use this Shopify reviews app,I will leave a link down in the,description box below on how to add this,to your online store as well if you want,to add this to your Shopify store this,specific app because it is a little bit,involved to be able to add the widget to,your Shopify store and and get the app,fully installed so I'll leave a link to,that tutorial as well now the second,product reviews app I'm mentioning in,this video is judge.me I have a full,judge.me reviewing tutorial if you want,to learn how to install this app again,you just need a product review app,whether it be the one by Shopify or,judge.me is a really good one that I I,like and recommend and again they have a,completely free plan uh as well so you,know whichever one you want to do they,both have free plans uh you know,obviously the Shopify one's completely,for free the judge.me one has a free,plan available free plan is still pretty,good so once you have that done you you,know tutorials on how to do that in the,description if you need that otherwise,just add these apps one of them or,another could be Luke's could be another,product reviews app you just need a,product reviews app doesn't matter which,one it is you need to add that to your,online store so once you've done that,now you're ready to get those product,reviews showing up on your home page so,how do you do that so first thing of,course you need to go to your Shopify,dashboard make sure you're logged into,Shopify dashboard and you're on the home,section,you know of your store next you're going,to go over here to the left and click on,online store,and then that will open up this section,here where you can then edit the online,store so it will bring up the themes,section once you've clicked on that on,online store then you have themes next,you're going to want to come over here,to customize now this is specifically,for you know more updated themes in,general uh on Shopify so if you're using,an older theme it may be a little bit,different but this is for the most,current up-to-date Shopify themes that,are available this is what most people,are using is the new online store 2.0,setup so this is the newest version of,Shopify themes you're going to go ahead,and click here on customize this brings,up their theme Builder theme editor and,then as you can see here you have the,you're on the home page so you're going,to want to make sure obviously you're,editing the home page,um of course that's the whole point of,this tutorial right so then you are,going to come over here to the left on,home page you're going to scroll down,until you see ad section so you know not,under add column or block you're going,to want to make sure you see the text ad,section then you're going to click on,ADD section and you're going to add,featured review Carousel you go ahead,and click there and boom it is added to,your home page now it will show this,little broken image thing here in the,editor but once you click save and it,reloads it will actually bring up a,little mini image of the products as you,can see here of the,products that you're displaying on your,online store this will again take a,conglomerate of all the reviews in your,online store and show them from,different products I only have product,reviews imported for this specific,product here this cat brush so it's only,showing the cat brush but it will show,other products as well and the different,star ratings and your overall star,rating review now I do want to mention,if you are using judge.me specifically,you will also have some another or other,additional review featured review,Carousel options depending on how in,depth you use their app and if you use,other sections so they do have other,featured things now this is of course,just Additionally you don't really need,this if you're just trying to show basic,product reviews you know that's it you,just need the reviews Carousel and,that's directly through the Shopify,theme section featured review Carousel,now again this may look a little bit,different depending on what Shopify,theme you're using I'm currently using,the dawn theme on Shopify this is like,the popular basic Shopify theme right,now is just the dawn theme it's free,from Shopify so it may look a little bit,different depending on what theme you're,using for your uh Shopify store this is,just what it looks like here uh again,you do have those other options as well,with judge.me such as uh the review,reviews Carousel is basically is,identical then you have some reviews,text if you want to show like you know,our average star rating uh you know you,have a section for Metals I currently,don't have any metals or ugc media,published uh or verified reviews badges,but these are other things that you can,do and play around with if you're using,judge.me if you want to feel free to add,those other things to your store again,you have to add those in judge.me,specifically I don't have that added to,this store currently but really the,basic reviews Carousel is really what,most people are probably looking for so,you know I hope you found this helpful,in this section of the tutorial in the,reviews Carousel now you can also edit,this as far as where it shows up on your,home page as well maybe you want it just,below the banner right so all you have,to do to move it is you can go over here,to the left now again you can also hide,it as well if you know if you just want,one because I currently have two,um,so if you just want to you know edit,your home page you can drag it up above,other sections as you can see here as,I'm doing so let's leave it below the,featured collection and boom so as you,can see you know it looks a little,different you can also see it how it,looks on mobile as well so if you know,desktop then mobile you can see looks,nice on mobile as well so customers can,easily click and scroll through the,featured review Carousel depending on,you know where you want it and whatever,um device that they're using as well so,you have mobile uh you know desk mobile,and desktop really the most popular too,and then you also have the full screen,if you just want to see like full screen,version of your site you can also do,that here in the editor as well so,that's how you drag it around if you,want to move the position of it in your,Shopify store in the editor so yeah guys,you could pretty much move it you know,however you want just you know edit the,design uh really whichever way you want,it and you know it's nice and,prominently featured on your home page,you
