All everyone Christian here,product descriptions,can be very daunting,to right.,And this video,,I'm going to give you,a simple formula,to write great product,descriptions,for a Shopify store,Now, even though,product descriptions,hold incredible power,when it comes,to conversions,,good product,copy can be hard to write.,And especially,when you have hundreds,of products,maybe even more,coming in the pipeline.,We made a video in the past,focusing on the basics,,right?,Making sure that you're,writing to your audience,,focusing on the benefits,of the product,making it easier,to scan, etc.,You can actually see,that video right here.,But today,,I want to break it down,a little bit further,and give you four simple,key elements,to make sure,that is super easy,for you to write.,And maybe a little bit,less daunting.,So let's go over these key,elements and,their definitions.,So no,one is going to be product.,The definition of,this is obviously,is the physical,apparel item,that you are selling.,It's actually,the name of the product,being displayed right,within the product,description.,Number two,is going to be the,unique value.,So this is the top reason,why this particular item,is special. And different.,This might be one of the,hardest ones,to sort of figure out.,But again,,think about,what makes us special,and what makes it different,than any other shirt,or pant or shoe out there.,Number three is going to be,the use case,where or how,this product was intended,to be worn or used.,So again,,if I'm talking about,this T-shirt,,then talk about,where can I wear,this T-shirt or with what,can I wear this T-shirt?,What is it that I'm doing,when I'm,wearing this t shirt?,Am I going out to brunch?,Am I working out,with this shirt?,Am I working construction,with to be specific,about those things?,And the four key,element is specific me,exactly who this product,would design for,this particular shirt,is for construction,workers.,Then alluding to,the fact that this shirt,is for construction worker,,this for mail,or for female,conversion, etc..,So grabbing,that specific niche,and talking about it,and mentioning it,right within,your product description.,Now, I want to show you,some examples,of this formula in action,so you can actually,more visually and mentally,see how it breaks down,right,within your,product description.,But before we do that,,I just want to say,you many of those.,My name is Christian,Finnegan,,one of the co-founders here,at the brand,,or an e-commerce,growth entity,that specializes in helping,clothing stores,grow and scale,profitably online.,We drop new videos,there weeks,and make sure they hit,subscribe button,and turn on notifications,so you don't mess up.,Now, using these four key,elements will make it,super easy,to tackle product,descriptions.,On top of that,,you will have,product descriptions,that actually speak to,your audience is,tells them,how to use a product,and how the product,is different.,So let's,see these in action.,And the first one,is going to be,for a Nike shoe.,And I'm actually,going to show you,,I think, a shoe, a coat,,maybe some leggings,of all different,,bigger brands,like Nike and all that,just so you can kind of see,how they're using,these four key elements,right within their coffee.,So this version here,is this Nike running shoe.,So the name of,the shoe is the Nike,Wild Horse six.,And as you can see,,they have the women's,trail running shoe.,That's the actual,name of the product,after their,moniker of the wild horse.,They're sort of description,of the product.,Right underneath,it is women's,trail running shoe.,Now, this right,here, the women's trail,running shoe,is actually,the specific niche,so again,,they're going after women,and this is a running shoe.,And even more specific,that that,is for trail running.,So there you have,just sort of a deep dove,into what,that specific niche,is going to go into.,The actual,product description,from going,to the Nike wall,,who are six, keeps,it stable,,secure and lightweight,on the trail.,And updated,outsole delivers,the traction you need,while a foam midsole,keeps you,cushioned on your run.,Now and here,you can see the breakdown.,So the Nike,Wild Horse,six again,is the actual product,mentioning the product,name right,within the description.,All that you see here in,green,is going to be,that unique value.,So it provides,stable, secure,and lightweight.,And it's also an updated,outsole, delivers traction,,the midsole foam,that keeps it cushioned,for you.,So all of that,is unique value.,Talking about that,specific product,and what makes it,special and different.,And then the use case,,again, going back to,on the trail,and on your run,,these are running shoes,more specifically,for your trail run.,So mentioning that,right within the product,description, it's,going to be perfect.,So as you can see, there's,a nice little paragraph,,nice and concise,,and it still uses,those four key elements,Now, before I show,you more examples,,let me talk to you,about this.,We're using a tool,called Triple Will,for all of our clients,and group coaching members.,And this powerhouse of,a tool,allows us to see,the lifetime value,for our customer,at 30, 60 in 90 days.,But what we're most,excited about,is the estimated action,of customers.,Imagine being able,to send out emails,or run ads to customer,who are likely to buy,from you,a second or third time,and knowing,when to send out these,marketing messages.,It's super,,super powerful travel,well centralizes,all these metrics,from all the tools,that you use,right into your pocket.,They simplify, inform,,and save you time.,Make sure,to check out the link,in the description.,Below,are the next up,we're looking at this,a buck mason coat.,And as you can see,,this has two sentences,and two sentences.,They're able to hit,on these four key elements,as you can see here,,the name of the product,,obviously the fettered,chore coat.,And then you have,these specific niche,,which is men's outerwear,coats, the unique value,,quite bold merino,for breathability,and all season comfort.,And then you use case,,the all versatility part,tailored jacket,as part of the,product name.,Very easy and simple.,And as you can see,,some of these examples,,the four key,elements are not always,necessarily right,within the,product description.,Sometimes they use,the product name or the sub,name of the actual product,and then the breakdown,of the categories.,Just so you know,,you have an idea,of these four key elements.,So it could be,,for example,,that specific niche,they have,that men's outerwear coats,at the very top.,It could be,that that's,just above,the product description.,It's just a sort,of a descriptor of a tag,read there,within the product page.,I wouldn't recommend it,to just leave it like that.,I would recommend,to have,these four key,elements right,within your product,description.,Let's look,at the next one here.,We have a dress,from Reformation,and that this one says,Tie it on and go,,this is a MIDI length dress,with a scoop neckline,and a wrap skirt,and a waist type.,The Kayla is a slim,fit throughout with a,with a slight slit,as kind of a little tongue,twister there.,But as you can see,,the Kayla,is obviously,the product name.,They have it over here,as the killer,dress as well.,The specific niche,is going to be,the woman's MIDI,length dress.,They also mentioned,right within here,and the very beginning.,And then the use case,is going to be the tie,it on and go.,So I want to get,a little sentence,there just telling you,like it's a simple,tie it on and go type dress,so not a lot of,fussing around with zippers,or different things.,So and then,a unique value, obviously,,just talking,a little bit more,about the dress.,So it has a scoop neckline.,It's a wrap skirt,and a waist tie.,It's a slim fit.,It has a slide slit.,So again,,all these unique elements,of this particular dress,,they're making sure,that they mentioned,right within the product,description.,And again,,those are some,type of things,that you looking at,the pictures,and looking at high quality,imagery, you might be able,to tell that unique value.,Right?,What makes that,dress unique?,What makes it different,than any other dress?,But having it,sort of reaffirming it,rather than the product,description is really good,for the customer,because they might,see something,,but until they actually,read it,,it doesn't click with them.,That, Oh, yeah,,this dress actually,doesn't,have any other way,to tie it besides that,waist high.,So little things like that,do matter,and do matter,when it's time to,for that customer,to click on the add,to Cart right.,They want to make sure,that they have,the right product,in their cart,and they're ready,to check out,and provide,in this part,of the description.,And having these four key,elements, it's,going to be very,,very beneficial,hey, if you like,what you see, please,consider clicking on that,like button.,Now, let me show you,this next one. It's by ALO.,These are yoga pants,or yoga leggings.,They're not,really for yoga, actually,,they're just leggings,but actually,they do say, well,,in the yoga,leggings and here,,so the name of the product,,the high waist,airlift leggings,,and it's you can see this,particular example,doesn't have,the actual product,named within their product,description.,Again, I wouldn't,necessarily,highly recommend that,,but we want to actually,they do,because they do,have the airlift right,here.,And airlift is,part of the name,of the actual product.,So if they do have it,,they do mention it,right here.,The specific niche,is for women's,yoga leggings.,Again, that's part of the,could be a part,of a descriptor,on top of the,actual product description.,But then the use case,,as you can see,,here on the blue,for hot studios,and heart classes,to tell you exactly,where you would,want to use these,,you love them,and live in them.,So not necessarily,just for the hospital,in our classes,you actually,can just use them,for whatever,and then for use case,that actually,tells you to pairs,well with crop,tops and cute broth.,So again,,the use case could be,where you would want,to use them,,how you could,use them as well.,So how can you,pair this product,with something else,or how you,you would wear this,particular product,and then unique,value again,,what makes these leggings,so unique,again, has a second skin,fit and feel,it has,micro performance,,double knit fabric,that sculpts and lift,like no other,and has a higher waistband,for shaving again.,So hitting on those four,key elements,,maybe not all,within the,proper description,,but still,when you go to the product,page,,you'll be able to see,these four key elements,right away.,All right.,And the last one,that we have here,is an Everlane crew,tee specific niche,for this one.,Again, women's oversize,tee shirts.,Name of the product,,the air oversize crew,tee unique value.,It's going to be,made of drapey,,super like cotton,has an intentionally,oversize fit and longer,sleeves use case.,As for a cool,,relaxed look.,So even this one right,here, this use case,is just very simple,and basic.,They could go,maybe a little bit,more in depth about it.,But again,,they're just,being very concise,with this particular,and I mean, very well.,So it's just an oversize,crew tee.,There's not much to,it doesn't have,any designers,that have,anything like that,,but they're still able,to hit,on those four key elements.,Even with something,so simple,so even with this,simple formula,to write,great product copy,,I would still have you test,and refine these nothing.,And love is a,one size fits all.,So even with this formula,that we have here,,making sure,that you're,asking questions,like where's the problem,that your product,is solving?,Which power words,have you included,within the copy?,You include the full,story of that product.,Would you say,this description,to a friend? Right.,If you were talking,to a friend,,you were describing,this product.,Is that how you would talk,to, you know,,make sure that they get,the full story,of that particular product?,Those are all things,that you want to make sure,that you're still doing,with the,product description.,So again, don't sort of,pigeonhole yourself,within just these four key,elements.,There are other things,that you can do,with the descriptions,I include in bullet points.,Be more descriptive about,100% cotton,made in the USA,,all these other,little things,that help,sell the actual product,and will help,you make better,product description.,We'll see you,in the next one.,And if you have,any questions about this,four key elements,,let us know,in the comments below,and we'll make sure,to help you see
