ad on the platform today now we're currently using ,tick tock in our marketing agency the affluent
agency and we're generating a ridiculous amount ,of new revenue for our clients at the moment using
the platform i cannot wait to bring this to you ,guys today it's been a long time coming i've got
a presentation ready for you we're going to jump ,onto it in a second but before we do i want

so tick-tock ads training first of all let's ,start off with some data we need to understand
the opportunity here now tik tok was the most ,downloaded app in 2020 with 850 million downloads
okay tiktok has 1.1 billion active users worldwide ,with 90 of users using the app multiple times per
day so we can get ourselves in front of our ideal ,customer multiple times a day on average now as
of january 2021 tick tock raked in 128 million in ,user spending marking an increase of 380 from its
january 2020 revenue so it's growing year on year ,almost 4x in user revenue now take top ranks
as the second biggest app in consumer spend ,above youtube disney plus and netflix this
is probably the uh the biggest stat on this ,screen ranking above youtube and netflix in
consumer spend is absolutely ridiculous so ,it's a monumental opportunity for people and
businesses to sell their products on the platform ,how many times have you spoken to someone they've
said ah i found that product on tick tock it's ,happening a lot these days so let's jump on to how
you can actually make the most of that so this is ,the tick tock ad structure so at the top we have
tick tocks ad manager then we have ad campaigns ,we have ad groups we have ad creative and then
landing pages to break these down one by one tick ,doc ads manager is where you manage your ticktock
advertising account similar to the facebook ,ad manager now a ad campaign is the foundation
of your ad so we're setting up our advertising ,objectives and formats we then have ad group which
is target audiences ad placements budget and the ,bidding then we have the ad creative which is
the text and the video that will appear on our ,apps what we're physically seeing then finally our
landing page and this is the destination url that ,we are driving our potential customers too this
is the place where they will actually buy our ,products or service so when you actually have your
tick tock ad account up and running this is kind ,of what the format will look like we have our ad
manager at the top we have campaigns beneath that ,then inside an ad campaign we would have multiple
ad groups so we'll be testing out multiple ,audiences and inside those audiences we may even
be testing out multiple different ad creatives ,as well so what are the actual creative the the
creative formats that we can use on tick tock well ,we have top view on the left hand side here which
is like a full-size video which shows up when we ,launch the app we don't have brand tank takeover
now these are the most expensive tic toc ads and ,very large brands use these and again these come
up right at the start of launching the app and it ,takes over the entire screen then have in feed ads
this is what we're going to be going through today ,and what most businesses are actually using
to generate the most revenue from tick tock ,we have branded hashtag challenges so if we
want to launch a challenge on the platform and ,then finally branded event so we want to have our
own branded stickers on uh on tick tock itself so ,people can use them when they're creating their
own content but as i said in feed ads it's the ,ad format we use for our tiktok ad clients
at the affluent agency and we're literally ,generating hundreds of thousands in new revenue

tutorial for businesses.,TikTok has now over one
billion monthly active users,as of January, 2022.,160 million videos are watched,in an internet minute on the platform,and it's the most popular mobile app,downloaded in 2020 and 2021.,If you want to leverage that platform,,but don't want to spend
all that time and energy,figuring out an organic growth strategy,,TikTok ads may be a great alternative.,Today, I'm going to show
you what you need to do,in order to run successful
paid ads on TikTok.,Step one, create and
install a TikTok Pixel.,Similar to Facebook ads,or Google ads and other ad platforms,,when you install a pixel, that allows you,to understand the user's
behavior on your website.,That in turn will allow
you to segment those users,in cohorts that you want
to target with other ads.,So let's say someone visits your website,,goes through the checkout process,,and doesn't complete their purchase.,You'll be able to retarget that person,with another ad and
that'll help you increase,the number of conversions you get,,because when they're on
TikTok, they'll see it, boom,,you can start making them convert.,And here's a trick.,Let's say you're selling
a product or a service.,When you do that remarketing ad on TikTok,,you can show a video of what
it's like to be a customer,or use your product or service.,That'll get more people to convert.,Step two, start with a very
broad audience segmentation.,Don't target a specific
gender or age group.,Let TikTok run your ads
to a broad user group,and let it optimize and deliver
so they can find out later,which audience are the most responsive.,You should run your ads,and wait some time for
user data to come in,so that you can optimize around the data,so you can see what's
working for your campaigns,versus just jumping the gun.,Step three, use as placement only TikTok.,Don't waste your time
and money advertising,on other platforms that TikTok offers.,The real value is really on
TikTok as a platform itself.,Step four, make sure to target
only one interest at a time.,When you're starting, you
don't want to mix up things,that have too many interests,being targeted at the same time.,If you stack different interests,,you won't be able to
understand which interests,are creating the best results.,It's better to target only
one interest at a time,so you can clearly
identify which interests,are the most profitable for you campaign,and then expand from there.,Step five, ideally, start with,a minimum budget of $50 a day.,This will allow TikTok
to run more experiments,with your ads and show them more audiences,in order to optimize
your ad delivery faster.,Step six, cap your costs per conversion.,Make sure that it's at
least at breakeven point,and that'll allow you to run ads,and spend money and not lose it.,Step seven, use TikTok's ad platform.,They'll show you all
the top performing ads,on their platform so that you can learn,what's working for other people,and how you can model after

ads we're going to go into shopify we're going ,to link our store we're going to make sure the
pixel is set up properly we're going to make ,sure that you can get amazing tick-tock results
for those that are new to the channel i'm davey ,foggerty my shopify stores have done over 400
million dollars in sales in just four years tick ,tock ads is the new kid on the blog usually we're
heavily reliant on facebook because it's such an ,incredible marketing tool but lots of people are
getting heaps of success with the new entertaining ,nature of tick tock ads so it might be perfect
for your brand this video is perfect for beginners ,we're not going to skip any steps but i'm also
going to go into some advanced things around ,content because that is so important to make sure
that you make tick tock ads work the first step ,you're going to want to do is set up your shopify
store if you haven't set up your shopify store ,just pause the video click the link in my bio and
set it up now we've got one set up through our ,lemon scrub series so it's got most of the things
ready we're just going to make sure that we set up ,tiktok properly so the pixel is firing once you're
in shopify the best way to go is go into apps and ,just write in tiktok simply download the official
tiktok app and click add sales channel this is the ,exact same as facebook nowadays this will bring
up this little tick tock section down on the left ,hand store of your shopify store if you don't have
shopify still carry on watching we're going to get ,into the nitty gritty in a second once this is set
up we can click this section here setting up the ,pixel the next step you can see that it's saying
connect tick tock for business this is where you ,need a new tick tock account already have a tick
tock business account you can just click connect ,but today we're gonna have to create a brand new
one so i'm just gonna click create new at the top ,enter my email address get the verification code
sent into the verification code here agree to ,terms and conditions and just click sign up you
can click connect down the bottom right and that's ,now created an ads manager business manager under
that email we can click create new ad account and ,we can select the country and the currency that we
want to be built in this is generally the region ,that you want to be targeting change the business
name to something a little bit simpler click sign ,up and connect you'll come to this data sharing
section which we've touched on a few times in my ,previous episodes just click enhanced or maximum
providing you've got the terms and conditions set ,up for something and then click confirm maximum
is obviously preferred this is how shopify shares ,data with ticktock this is referred to as capi
which is a partnership between shopify and the ,advertising platform click set up enter your final
details make sure you connect automatic payment ,click confirm and you should be ready to go now
to create tick-tock ads we're actually going to ,have to go back to the tick-tock ads manager so
we can go ads.tichtalk.com you can see that our ,ad account has already been created to make sure
that we do have the pixel set up properly what i ,do recommend is going to your website and just
like facebook there's something called tic toc ,pixel helper and it's a chrome extension that you
can download and check if your pixel is firing ,on your website if it's not you may need to go
and fix that initially just download the chrome ,extension and you can see that our tick tock pixel
is set up here shopify set it up for us and it ,should be firing this is a page view because we're
on a page when you add a product to cart it should ,fire the add to cart pixel or if someone purchases
you can test a purchase and it will also fire that ,pixel in the exact right way so now we're in
the tiktok ads account we can go ahead and ,create our first campaign campaign structures
are really important to talk about it's what ,separates good advertisers from bad advertisers
that alongside really effective marketing content ,the basic structure is you have a campaign which
is what objective you are striving for if you've ,got something like a real estate business
it might be leads you're trying to collect ,leads but we've got a e-commerce business
so we want to get purchases then you've ,got the ad set level which is basically the
targeting that you're setting up to complete ,that campaign objective then finally you've got
your ads that live within each of those ad sets ,these ads are different creative types that

in this video i'm going to be taking you,step by step on exactly how i went from,knowing nothing about tick tock ads to,making over a thousand dollars per day,with them in just under a week what's,going on everybody tanner here with,another video i hope you're all having,an amazing and productive day so far in,this video i'm going to be taking you,step by step on exactly how to set up,tick tock ads how to get up to 2 300 and,free ad spend and what i wish i knew,before i actually started running ads on,this platform and if you're looking to,get into e-commerce or at least expand,on what you're already doing during this,holiday season i highly highly suggest,you apply for my advertising agency,where we find products for you and we,test and scale them on facebook all you,got to do is click the top link in the,description and i'll see you there now i,know a lot of people have tended to stay,away from the tick tock ad platform,since it became public but i would,highly suggest you not do that because,it's an untapped platform you know maybe,you're thinking,my products not going to work on here my,product's too expensive or i just don't,want to learn a new platform but the,reality of it is that there's a lot of,money to be made on this platform and,even if you think you may be confused by,the ads platform itself i'm going to,show you how to navigate through it what,everything means and how to actually get,your first ads up i promise you it's not,as complicated as it seems but i want,you to know that you shouldn't be,opposed to not running tick tock ads,just because of the product that you're,selling it doesn't matter if it's for,older people if it's something higher,ticket it really does not matter there's,so many people on tick tock and a lot of,people aren't really running ads,compared to facebook so you should take,advantage of it while you can especially,while you can get up to twenty three,hundred dollars and free ad spend so,what they're doing right now because of,covet is once you set up your ad account,verify your business manager they're,gonna go ahead and give you 300 in free,ad credits and then after that you're,gonna be able to get an additional two,thousand dollars in free ad spend,because the way that tick tock ads works,for billing you have to add from a card,to your balance on tick tock so let's,say you put in a thousand dollars,they're gonna match that and put two,thousand dollars in your ad spend,balance and you can run ads with all,those funds so even if you're just,getting into e-commerce and you just,wanna save money or at least get more,bang for your buck i highly suggest you,take advantage of this while they're,still offering it and one last thing,here that i wish i knew before i,actually launched tick tock ads is to,not expect things to move super quick um,you know the ads that you actually,launch are manually reviewed i learned,from an ad rep that i've been working,with so it's not like an automated,system like facebook when you submit,your ads to run those have to get,manually reviewed by a person so there's,really two negative sides of this one,it's going to take longer to get,approved and two they're going to be,more strict and i notice that my ads get,approved somewhat based on the person,because sometimes something will get,approved and then someone else will,review that same ad if i put it in,another ad set or add group as tick tock,calls it and it'll get declined for one,specific reason but the process is,pretty easy where you can fix it so,we're gonna get into the actual ads,manager in one minute i'm gonna show you,how to set everything up but what you,need to do first before you can actually,run ads is make sure your pixel is set,up so if you're using shopify it's super,super easy just go to the app store type,in tick tock it's going to be a little,plug-in and then you'll go through there,check some marks and then you're good to,go it's going to automatically install,the pixel you don't have to do anything,manual and then all you have to do after,that is get the tick top pixel helper so,what that's going to be able to do is,you're going to be able to go on your,website look at that pixel helper and,make sure that your pixel is active and,if you're not seeing it just make sure,your ad blocker is disabled that's most,likely the reason and just go through,click add to cart go to your checkout,just make sure everything's firing,correctly and then once you do that,you're good to go so let's go ahead set,up some ads so this is what it actually,looks like on the tick tock ads manager,so it's actually very very similar to,facebook there's a few things that are,different but in the grand scheme of,things they're very very similar so when,you're creating a new campaign this is,what it's going to look like and now for,me i haven't really messed with these,other objectives i've always just gone,directly for conversions i'm going to,leave it how it is right now and go to,continue so now we're

i typically start off my videos by,saying good morning everybody,but it's like 4 p.m right now so i'm not,sure how applicable that is um this is,my tick tock account i've had it for a,while and i've had a lot of different,companies reach out to me offering to,pay me money to make tick tocks for them,i'm going to show you how to get your,account to the same place there's five,things you need to focus on the first of,which is discoverability there are a lot,of creators on tiktok you need to make,sure that these companies find you the,second thing you need to focus on is a,means of communication once they find,you how are they going to reach you how,are they going to talk to you to make,sure that they can start this dialogue,the third thing is pricing you need to,know what your rates are before they,ever reach out i'm going to show you how,to figure out what you should be,charging for these various types of,posts the fourth thing is vetting you,need to make sure that this sponsorship,works for you you're going to be the,face of this if this goes south it's not,going to be the company that gets hurt,it's going to be your account tick tock,likes to ban people don't get banned the,fifth thing is actually posting it,making sure that once you post the video,you actually get paid and everybody,walks away happy,yes let's get into it the first thing,that we're going to go over is,discoverability this is making sure that,your account is the one that shows up,when a sponsor goes looking and i,imagine that this is where most of you,are having your problems because there,is a very big gap between making tick,tocks for fun and actually trying to,monetize it so i'm going gonna tell you,about how i got my first sponsor and,just a spoiler alert is hashtags,hashtags are the secret,i made a video when i have like 30 000,subscribers 30 000 followers on tiktok,just talking about one of my,jumpstarters i use the hashtag,jumpstarter okay like a couple weeks,later a company reaches out to me they,make jump starters they went on,tick-tock they used a little search bar,right there and they searched for their,own product they wanted to find other,people that were talking about their,thing they saw the hashtag jumpstarter,and came across my video that is how a,lot of my sponsors have actually found,me because i use the hashtags that are,relevant to their industry a lot of,people on tiktok they will use hashtags,to try to get onto the forum page,they'll use like fyp,for you page i don't think you should do,that i think you should use your,hashtags to try to find sponsors if you,are talking about makeup use hashtag,makeup you're talking about a particular,brand use that brand your hashtags,aren't necessarily meant to make you go,viral they're meant to make you be able,to be found by sponsors so you can get,money in the future there are platforms,out there that are designed to help,influencers and brands be able to meet,and be able to help like coordinate,sponsorships i've had zero luck with any,of them there's like four and there's,there's other ones i've had zero luck,actually meeting brand sponsors that,want to pay this leads us to our next,bullet point communication,once a sponsor has found your tick tock,and they decide that they possibly want,to work with you they need a way to be,able to send you a message to be able to,start the dialogue there's two ways to,do that natively in tik-tok the first of,which is with your inbox they will go on,their tic-tac account and they will send,your tick tock account a message,you need to be aware that most tick,tockers can't even do that a lot of,people they have their account set up so,that they can only receive messages from,people that they follow that means that,if you're not following the brand that,wants to give you money you won't be,able to talk to them you need to have,your account settings set so you can,receive messages from everyone,most of the messages you get will just,be stupid people sharing stupid videos,with you but every now and again you'll,get a potential sponsor and you don't,want to miss out on that so open your,inbox to everybody,the second way that brand sponsors can,reach out to you through tick tock is,with something called the creator,marketplace this they released this,about a year ago and this is where,brands can actually go up and
