things around  ,content because that is so important to make sure  that you make tick tock ads work the first step  ,you're going to want to do is set up your shopify  store if you haven't set up your sure that we set up  ,tiktok properly so the pixel is firing once you're  in shopify the best way to go is go into apps and  ,just write in tiktok simply download the official  tiktok app and click add sales channel this is the  ,exact same as facebook nowadays this will bring  up this little tick tock section down on the left  ,hand store of your shopify store if you don't have  shopify still carry on watching we're going to get  ,into the nitty gritty in a second once this is set  up we can click this section here setting up the  ,pixel the next step you can see that it's saying  connect tick tock for business this is where you  ,need a new tick tock account already have a tick  tock business account you can just click connect  ,but today we're gonna have to create a brand new  one so i'm just gonna click create new at the top  ,enter my email address get the verification code  sent into the verification code here agree to  ,terms and conditions and just click sign up you  can click connect down the bottom right and that's  ,now created an ads manager business manager under  that email we can click create new ad account and  ,we can select the country and the currency that we  want to be built in this is generally the region  ,that you want to be targeting change the business  name to something a little bit simpler click sign  ,up and connect you'll come to this data sharing  section which we've touched on a few times in my  ,previous episodes just click enhanced or maximum  providing you've got the terms and conditions set  ,up for something and then click confirm maximum  is obviously preferred this is how shopify shares  ,data with ticktock this is referred to as capi  which is a partnership between shopify and the  ,advertising platform click set up enter your final  details make sure you connect automatic payment  ,click confirm and you should be ready to go now  to create tick-tock ads we're actually going to  ,have to go back to the tick-tock ads manager so  we can go ads.tichtalk.com you can see that our  ,ad account has already been created to make sure  that we do have the pixel set up properly what i  ,do recommend is going to your website and just  like facebook there's something called tic toc  ,pixel helper and it's a chrome extension that you  can download and check if your pixel is firing  ,on your website if it's not you may need to go  and fix that initially just download the chrome  ,extension and you can see that our tick tock pixel  is set up here shopify set it up for us and it  ,should be firing this is a page view because we're  on a page when you add a product to cart it should  ,fire the add to cart pixel or if someone purchases  you can test a purchase and it will also fire that  ,pixel in the exact right way so now we're in  the tiktok ads account we can go ahead and  ,create our first campaign campaign structures  are really important to talk about it's what  ,separates good advertisers from hey guys danny here so in this,particular lesson we are going to,discuss on how to optimize for ctr,otherwise click-through rate,we,have been optimizing for click-through,rate for the longest time ever since the,days of good old facebook okay ever,since i've been doing lead generation,which has now been for over eight years,ctr is one of the main points,that we look at in the kpi,in order to kind of determine what our,next step is going to be okay we heavily,heavily focused on local and we've been,doing this for you know ever since we,really started and it's been working,great and we've used the same strategy,now over on tiktok and it does it does,well okay now there are some other kpis,that are important to look at again the,way we do things and again like i've,always mentioned test test test right,the three t's you really have to look at,the bigger picture of the entire picture,before you say okay like i'm only gonna,look at ctr and that is it because again,like i mentioned things change and even,though we do primarily look at ctr when,we optimize ads and tweak things ctr is,not the like the 100 final decision,whether something's going to be changed,or not because we have had ads that have,had a low ctr but the cpl has been great,the conversion has been great so it,would be stupid for us to kill that if,it's doing wonders in other areas okay,so again make sure you look at the,entire landscape before you start making,decisions just based on one single kpi,factor okay but again in this lesson i'm,going to discuss what we look at when it,comes to optimizing for ctr and if you,know we get something that's lower than,the baseline a different couple things,that we look at and how the ads,especially on tick tock really play a,factor in what your ctr ought to be so,first things first let's take a look at,the computer here and i'm going to get,to the ipad here in a second,so this is one of our ad accounts that,we have here on just some of the,campaigns that we were running and i,just picked you know a couple here a,couple dozen or so just to show you what,the kpi looks like for what the ctr,looks like on some of these different,campaigns here okay so as you can see,here you know we have this ad here has,spent almost two grand has had a two,point three four percent uh ctr which is,pretty good plus three one point one,five one point one one three point oh,two 0.95 over one over one over one over,two over one over one under one here but,it's still spending and it's still,generating pretty decent results from,what we are you know needing this,campaign to achieve right now in general,right generally speaking of course this,really depends on the industries,campaigns budget and so forth but,generally,we like to have a ctr of at least one,percent now i know there are a couple,blog articles out there and some have,been posted a couple years ago that you,know have a much lower standard of what,that ctr percentage would be based on,the industry for example like in the,medical space i i believe this was a,couple years ago maybe four or five,years ago there was an article posted,that the ctr for the healthcare paid,advertising space,should be at least 0.65,now in my opinion that's really setting,the bar super low again what we strive,for is at least one percent if we're,doing north of that,then we're good right as long as our,other kpis are in place too right cpcs,especially cpls and ultimately the,result after the conversion if it's,south if it's under one percent then,this is where the optimization comes,into play and this is really where this,lesson takes factor in terms of what we,need to do in order to optimize,for a better click-through rate let's,say you're not getting that,click-through rate what do you need to,do well this is what we're going to be,covering here now now tick-tock right,tick-tock like i mentioned before 100,character max on the ad copy so you,really don't have a lot of play,when it comes to the ad copy so what,does that mean and this is one of the,first things that we're going to be,covering here your ad copy,needs to be,super specific okay so add copy,p this is a peanut our ad copy needs to,be,super specific okay,now,when it comes to the ad copy that we put,on there we literally just give them the,offer okay again this is tick tock you,know the mentality of tic toc is that,they're just scrolling and scrolling and,scrolling and scrolling and if your ad,doesn't look like an ad then you're,pretty much in the rotation you're,scrolling and scrolling as long as you,have a good hook good video good story,within 15 20 seconds or whatever how,long your video is then your ad copy,needs to be as specific as possible in,order to get them to do what to click on,the ad right because that's the ultimate,goal with the ad copy and the creative,is for them to click on it because if,they're not clicking on anything,then what's the point what are you even,doing right so it needs to be you to keep,spending because then you're just gonna,leave the platform now with agency,accounts or accounts that i've already,spent thousands of dollars on i,typically never have this issue because,tick tock knows that i know what i'm,doing and they give me free rein to go,ahead and spend my money how i want it,we'll touch on agency accounts just a,bit later the issue of your ads not,spending typically happens on a brand,new tick tock account that hasn't,achieved any spend or results yet so yes,you're probably thinking this is all,common sense and you're probably already,wondering what you can do to set,yourself up for success and not have,this problem upon launch and here's how,you do it so much like facebook tick,tock actually has a learning phase as,well and to exit this learning phase on,a conversion campaign you have to show,tick tock that your campaign can,generate at least 50 conversions within,one week or seven days but for tick tock,to even want to spend your budget they,have to first believe that you can,actually achieve those results and hit,those metrics to exit the learning phase,and if they're not spending any of your,budget it's because they don't believe,that you can do so i'm sorry it's not,going to happen so what you need to do,first obviously if you believe that your,campaign's going to be successful is you,need to show them that you can hit those,conversion metrics on a lesser event so,what you need to do to show them that,you can actually exit the learning phase,and hit those conversion metrics is you,need to choose an easier objective first,like page views or add to carts now the,proven strategy that has worked for me,about eighty percent of the time has,simply been opening up a brand new,traffic campaign and just spending,twenty dollars on it for the following,day after you've done this the next step,is to simply go to sleep and watch your,ad account burn through twenty dollars,the next day with likely no results but,don't worry your account is still,gathering very much important data that,it can later use and it's also getting,you ready to launch that conversion,campaign the complete payment objective,which is obviously what you're looking,for now like i said this will fix your,account spending issues about eighty,percent of the time if your account,still isn't spending and yes this has,happened to me as well then again spend,another 20 the next day but this time,the conversion objective set it to add,to cart and repeat that same process,every single day just getting closer simple to do you,simply need to enter your email address,password and if you already have a tech,talk account which i'm going to assume,that you already do then you can simply,sign up using your tech talk account and,then from there you're going to complete,a series of,simple little forms that they're going,to ask you in order to complete the,process of signing up takes two minutes,it's fairly simple to just sign up,okay so this is what the tick tock ads,manager actually looks like and as you,can see it looks fairly similar to what,the facebook ads manager looks like and,this is a campaign that i did for my,personal tic tac account this was just a,quick test that i wanted to do basically,how much it would cost me to get one,follower on tech talk so i'm gonna break,down those numbers for you,before i show you how to create your own,campaign and as you can see the budget,for these uh ads were just twenty,dollars per day and i actually did two,of them to kind of test exactly you know,what type of costs i would get based on,uh what countries or hashtags i was,targeting with my tick tock ads so for,example this one i was only targeting,people in the us so we're going to,scroll a little bit down so you can see,that the cpm for this was a little bit,higher and this is quite uh common,because of course i'm talking in the us,it's always going to be a little bit,higher so you can see here that the cost,per result for this was basically 21,cents per follower,and this was just followers from the us,now if you compare that to,this one right here where i got five,cents per follower you can see that it,says tier one and i actually targeted,people outside of the united states not,just in the united states because i,wanted to get those numbers as well but,as you can see even though i had 491,followers,basically the quality of those followers,was better,for the,people in the united states because the,result rate was basically,23.73 percent more people were following,from the ad that they were seeing in the,united states than those people who were,following me from outside the united,states so in a nutshell even though this,one was a little bit cheaper this one,being a little bit more expensive was,actually getting me more followers now,was i selling something no i wasn't,selling anything i was just telling,people to follow me in fact i'm going to,show you the actual video ads that i use,for both campaigns,so this was basically a tech talk that i,already uploaded to my page did pretty,well and i thought if it did well,organically then most likely is going to,do well also as a paid ad and i was,right it actually did quite well and as,you can see um the format for these uh,tick tock ads it's quite simple to,follow so that's exactly what I tried Drop Shipping with paid Tick,Tock ads and here are the results two,weeks ago I tried Drop Shipping with,only fifty dollars and well so today,we're gonna test our website the multi,bottle and see if paid ads are gonna be,better or if we should just move on to a,new product so let's get right into it,day one so let's start by creating some,ads now I don't have the product myself,so these ads are just made from content,I found online normally you should get,ugc content which stands for user,generated content since it performs a,lot better but we don't really have time,to ship the product to an influencer so,let's just hope for the best then let's,upload them to tick tock now we're gonna,set up the campaign as a CBL then we're,gonna do fifty dollars a day which is,the minimum select your pixel and choose,complete payment then remove these two,and select 18 to 55 plus since we don't,want some 13 year old to steal their,mom's credit card then we're gonna,select 7 to 24. now because I connected,my Tick Tock account to the ads manager,we can choose our ads here,and let's launch so the day we launched,the ads only spent three dollars and 64,cents for some reason if we go to the,Shopify dashboard we have 61 store,sessions one add to cart and no sales,day two day two was Black Friday and we,spent exactly fifty dollars but our CPM,was pretty high at 22 dollars this is,probably due to everybody our,advertising on Black Friday Also our CPC,was five dollars and it should be like,10 to 20 cents and our CTR was 0.45,percent when it should be at least one,percent on a Shopify dashboard we had 80,store sessions One ads at cart and zero,sales day three we spent fifty dollars,and got an even higher CPM but our CPC,was lower and CTR higher but these are,still very bad stats but on the Shopify,dashboard things started to look better,we got 70 store sessions five add to,cart three reach checkout and one sale,day four going into day four we again,got a 21 dollar CPM so I decided to cut,the ads at seven dollars spent in total,we had spent 111 dollars to make one,sale I got back to the drawing board and,decided that things needed to change day,five I was spending all day studying,Tick Tock ads and Tick Tock strategies,as well as making new ads so we had zero,dollars in ad spend day six on day six I,was ready with new ads and a new,strategy I decided instead of using my,post I would just create the ads,directly from the ads manager I also,added Canada an automated creative,optimization then I also raised the,budget to a hundred dollars a day so I,could lose my money faster after,spending twenty six dollars I decided to,cut the campaign since the CPC was too,high after spending 140 dollars to get,one sale I decided that it was time to,try a new product,day 7 on day seven the new product and,website was ready to be tested so we,spent 77 on ads and had a pretty good,CPM bad CPC and bad CTR on a Shopify,dashboard we had 107 store sessions with,five add to cart and two reach checkout,and zero sales day 8 on day eight I,created new ads and published them then,with only five cents an ad spend two,video views we got our first sale then,we got another sale and another sale and,another sale and we ended that day with,202 dollars in Revenue,but with the cost of ads fulfillment and,payment processor we have a solid 3.96,in profits here's the profit and loss,sheet for this challenge so we lost a,total of 216 dollars and that's why you,need a budget of minimum one thousand to,two thousand dollars when doing paid ads,but most people don't have that kind of,money lying around and that's why I'm,gonna retry organic Drop Shipping with,Tick Tock in my next video and this time,we're gonna do it with a US SIM card so,we can Target the US from Europe I,upload videos every Friday at 4 pm ESD,so subscribe and hit the Bell to get,notified about the video next week if,you have any questions or just want to,learn more join my Discord Link in the,description by the way this video right,here has,4193 likes maybe you'll like it too,thank you for watching have a great day,and I'll see you Friday

hear in the,background so over the past few months,i've generated quite a lot with tic toc,in terms of revenue and in profit and,this is just one of the stores i'm,currently running and you guys can see,the active visitors we have 1.1 k as,well as 30 000,in sales just for today and here's also,one of the other stores we did around,60k in november and going on into,december we pulled out around 130 000,and this was all about around a 30,margin overall so if you ask me that's,not bad at all this right here is the,store that i pulled off 30 000 just for,today's sales in and you guys can see,the tick tock ads manager we have quite,a lot of campaigns because this product,definitely is in the scaling phase but,putting all this aside let's get right,into the tutorial the first thing and all that but once,you're filling all that out you should,land on a page like this so this is an,existing ad account i have obviously,we're going to want to go ahead and,select conversions right here and then,for the campaign name you're going to,put whatever the product name is but i'm,just going to put one for the sake of,this video and then you don't want to,touch any of these these are for,different strategies and actually do use,these options but we're not going to do,that in this case specifically so we're,gonna hit continue right here and once,we are on this page the ad group name is,basically the interest name so whatever,you target let's say you target dog,owners or cat lovers you're gonna put,cat lovers or dog owners or whatever,interest you target but for tick tock,specifically i like to go broad so i'm,going to leave this as broad and then,i'll show you guys how to target,interests later down the line so for the,website we're going to want to create a,tick tock pixel i already have two,pixels right here but if you created a,new ad account you won't have a pixel so,we're going to want to create one and in,order to do that you just want to click,that button click set up web events or,create pixel tick tock pixel click next,and you want to name your pixel i'm,going to put three and then click this,second option right here click shopify,click next and you should be taken to a,different page where you're just going,to spam next a bunch of times so,complete setup and we should be good to,go now in order to install this you can,actually get an app called tick tock on,the shopify app store and then just,pretty much log in with your tick tock,account details now personally on some,of my stores i don't even install pixels,and i just go based off of different,metrics like the ctr cpm cost per click,but if you want to install a pixel you,guys can pretty much do it through,shopify or by installing it with code so,now once our pixel is set up you guys,can go back to the tick tock page right,here open this up and we have our third,pixel that we just created right here,for the optimization of that we want to,click complete payment we don't want any,other people who just go to our site to,add to cart or view the content we want,actual purchasers hence why we choose,this option right here now we want to,scroll down right here and click select,payments and uncheck these two random,ones i mean we don't need panel or news,feed app series we want tick tock that's,where the money is at at the end of the,day for user comments we're going to,turn this off and then for video,download we're going to turn this off as,well now for this option be aware people,can still download your videos so you,want to make sure that you add a,watermark on all your videos before,uploading them or creative type there is,some strategies i use which include this,checked but for this specific testing,strategy we're not going to have this,checked right
