tik-tok product,testing strategies and how do people,even come up with these strategies in,the first place because you're gonna see,these videos all the time from a bunch,of different gurus and a lot of times i,feel like they're just blowing smoke out,of their rear end but for me because i,run a ad agency where we're literally,testing hundreds of products every,single month and we're testing on,thousands of different accounts this is,actually the way that we come up with,strategies that work for us we have a,sheet that looks like this and you can,easily come up with a spreadsheet where,you have a base control testing strategy,like this one right here where you have,five ad groups three of them with,interest two no targeting and how you,can develop your strategy over time,especially when you're doing a lot of,tests is you can introduce a little bit,of chaos with having an independent,variable so for us when we're doing,split testing we always will do one,variable changing from our original,control group so in this instance with,this top column we did us with australia,for the targeting instead of us and,canada and then what we would do is,measure the results these are all fake,numbers by the way we would do this over,and over and over again over the course,of multiple months and this is how i,actually came up with this exact,strategy this isn't just me oh well i,think this is what's gonna work no this,is proven how you can actually develop a,strategy that works over time and you,can also do other split tests like doing,a combination of number one number five,so that would be us with australia while,also doing a cbo on to mark all of the,data because at the end of the day,you're gonna be biased and if you don't,have the numbers guiding your decisions,you're not gonna make good decisions,when it comes to media buying because,it's all based on numbers and not your,emotions so this has helped us scale,brands like this one right here name is,basically the interest name so whatever,you target let's say you target dog,owners or cat lovers you're gonna put,cat lovers or dog owners or whatever,interest you target but for tick tock pixel i already have two,pixels right here but if you created a,new ad account you won't have a pixel so,we're going to want to create one and in,order to do that you just want to click,that button click set up web events or,create pixel tick tock pixel click next,and you want to name your pixel i'm,going to put three and then click this,second option right here click shopify,click next and you should be taken to a,different page where you're just going,to spam next a bunch of times so,complete setup and we should be good to,go now in order to install this you can,actually get an app called tick tock on,the shopify app store and then just,pretty much log in with your tick tock,account details now personally on some,of my stores i don't even install pixels,and i just go based off of different,metrics like the ctr cpm cost per click,but if you want to install a pixel you,guys can pretty much do it through,shopify or by installing it with code so,now once our pixel is set up you guys,can go back to the tick tock page right,here open this up and we have our third,pixel that we just created right here,for the optimization of that we want to,click complete payment we don't want any,other people who just go to our site to,add to cart or view the content we want,actual purchasers hence why we choose,this option right here now we want to,scroll down right here and click consumer spend  ,above youtube disney plus and netflix this  is probably the uh the biggest stat on this  ,screen ranking above youtube and netflix in  consumer spend is absolutely ridiculous so  ,it's a monumental opportunity for people and  businesses to sell their products on the platform  ,how many times have you spoken to someone they've  said ah i found that product on tick tock it's  ,happening a lot these days so let's jump on to how  you can actually make the most of that so this is  ,the tick tock ad structure so at the top we have  tick tocks ad manager then we have ad campaigns  ,we have ad groups we have ad creative and then  landing pages to break these down one by one tick  ,doc ads manager is where you manage your ticktock  advertising account similar to the facebook  ,ad manager now a ad campaign is the foundation  of your ad so we're setting up our advertising  ,objectives and formats we then have ad group which  is target audiences ad placements budget and the  ,bidding then we have the ad creative which is  the text and the video that will appear on our  ,apps what we're physically seeing then finally our  landing page and this is the destination url that  ,we are driving our potential customers too this  is the place where they will actually buy our  ,products or service so when you actually have your  tick tock ad account up and running this is kind  ,of what the format will look like we have our ad  manager at the top we have campaigns beneath that  ,then inside an ad campaign we would have multiple  ad groups so we'll be testing out what is going on guys Noah Burr here,back again with part seven of the,quarter four spark series we're flying,right through these and these videos are,incredibly valuable so I hope that,you're enjoying them so far now a couple,videos ago I made a video uh exposing my,full product testing strategy and,towards the end of it I showed you how,to analyze and determine if a product is,actually a winner or if you should just,turn it off and move on but I left off,basically at the point where if you got,two sales within 80 to 100 spent that's,where I left off so I didn't talk about,what to do after that point which is,what this video is going to be right,here so today we're going to be talking,about what you should actually do if you,think you actually may have a winning,product whether it's slightly losing a,little bit of money or breaking even or,even profitable what are the next steps,to actually transition into scaling so,that you can start hitting bigger,numbers and get to that thousand dollar,day two thousand three thousand dollar a,day point so like I said in the last,video that we talked about this we left,off at a point where if you have 2 two,sales at 80 to 100 spent then you should,not turn the product off and probably,retest it what I meant by that is when,you get to this point you have two,options option number one is basically,killing the original campaign and then,recreating a new Campaign which we'll,talk about in a minute what that new,campaign should be and your option,number two is letting your original,campaign run into day two and also,making a new campaign for day two so,obviously if you're on a tighter budget,makes a little bit more sense to turn it,off and then recreate a new one but if,you don't care about the budget and you,want to give it the highest possible,chance of working and just set things up,better for down the road then I would,recommend leaving the original campaign,on when you make the new campaign now,for the new campaign itself you also,have two options you can either make a,new campaign and leave everything,exactly the same or you can make a new,campaign and change one variable now,what variables do you change I have a,video coming up I believe it's the video,that's going to be uploaded after this,one where I will be showing showing you,exactly what variables are the best to,test at what different stages how they,perform like which ones have the highest,success rate the timing the best times,to test out each different variable so,things like new creatives different,optimization goals different targeting,you know things like that I'm just going,to give all the variables out so that,you have a big list of them and you can,basically determine what would be best,for your specific scenario so again,either kill your original campaign and,then make a new campaign or leave the,original campaign on for day two and,then make a new campaign and then for,the new campaign either recreate the,original campaign in the same exact way,or recreate the campaign and change a,variable now I will say that how do you,determine what the best thing to do is,because these things are very,situational and what you need to do in,your specific situation is going to be,different than what another person may,do is I would say in the scenario of if,you were breaking even on your first day,then it's not that bad of an idea to,just recreate the campaign in the same,way because most of the the time day two,for whatever reason usually yields,better results than day one so most of,the time by changing nothing you can get,better results and see how the product,would do on a different day however if,your results are really bad like let's,say you spent a hundred dollars in sales,and you did like 60 in Revenue then it,may make more sense to actually change a,variable that way it has a higher chance,of working so I would say if you're,breaking even or profitable it's,probably safe to just leave everything,the same in the new campaign but if,you're losing a little bit of money and,you think it could do a little bit,better then it makes more sense to try,out a new variable now this arises the,question why are we turning off the,original campaign or making a new,campaign in the first place well I think,creating a new campaign has a higher,success rate than letting a campaign run,so for example if I created 10 campaigns,and then let those 10 campaigns run into,day two I would see on average 30 to 40,percent of those campaigns on day two,actually end up being profitable but if,I take those same 10 campaigns and then,turn them all off and then create 10,brand new ones on day two instead of,letting it run then I might see a 60 to,70 percent success rate with those new,campaigns this is just an observation,that I've made it's statistical for me I,don't have the exact numbers and exact,percentages but I know for almost a fact,that creating a new Campaign Will almost,always yield a higher chance of success,than letting a campa

on me but uh,um,i'm back in the game,but my really my question is is,you know my my cpa is high right because,i'm spending you know i'm spending some,some cash to get get these acquisitions,sure sure,let's backtrack so what changed between,the settings that we were going over and,like now with the new launch so um you,know i ran the add to cart campaign,which i think helped the algorithm,figure out who who my people are right,okay,um good but even that initially wasn't,spending so you had me staircase some of,the spend which worked um and then i,switched over to a this conversion,campaign,um and,spent you know i spent some money for a,budget for each of those ad groups um,but it worked so,that's awesome and and really cool but,we know what point do i start scaling,down or do i say hey screw let's go the,other direction and scale up,okay got it and what about the audiences,were you always targeting female,yeah i mean so i i've played around with,uh female and male but you know the,brand sku is female that's just the,nature of it which is fine um but i,would be willing to test um,males as well you know i have some,creative that sort of tries to speak to,to the male consumer,but in terms of putting money behind it,i just quite haven't done it yet,okay and are all these have the same,creative,no,really yeah i've got listen i got,different i got plenty i got plenty oh,okay interesting let's see here and so,what i noticed for example this ad um,where it's just let's make a sparkling,mint lemonade very simple um,i i had some old creative of
