hey welcome back this is just going to,be a really quick short video i've had a,few comments from some of you asking,about the payment issue on tick tock ads,so in this video i'm just going to take,you through the issues that i've had the,issues that i've faced and the solutions,that i've found so far,and obviously you can go ahead and try,all of these i'm not sure whether,they're all going to work but some of,them worked for me,so the main issue that a lot of you are,referring to is the fact that your tick,tock ads aren't spending so,first thing that i recommend you do when,you get a new tick tock ad account this,is a new one that i created my last one,got suspended from the challenge that,i'm doing so i've put that on pause for,a bit and i'm testing out this new,account,and,same thing happened first day ads,wouldn't spend so here's what you want,to need here's what you need to do to,get ads to spend so you've just created,a new tips i've had account it's in,whatever country and currency you've got,your card linked and you want to set up,some complete payment ad sets but those,ad sets aren't spending you know usually,what happens is this is because either,it takes a while for them to approve,your ads and sort of verify that you're,a trustworthy person or it's because of,some issue with the fact that your ads,aren't yet approved even though tick,tock says your ads are approved what i,recommend you do is you create new,campaign,much like this one so this is just a,normal campaign i think this is just a,conversion campaign yeah it's just a,conversion campaign but the optimization,of these ad sets are different so,usually obviously we'd be going for,complete purchase so a complete payment,you can see this one i've gone for view,content and this one here is an add to,cart conversion so neither of these two,are the final one that i want to be,going for and you can see,out of the two the view content was the,one that spent the most and then the uh,add to cart one didn't start spending,and then it took a while and then,gradually it's got a bit of spend,um,so what's actually happened here is,for some reason i don't know why it,pushes it through tick tock's algorithm,quicker so as soon as you get a view,content one spending then the add to,cart one will start spending once that,started spending you'll then see the,complete payment ones started spending,so to give you an idea,of when all of this happened i think it,was towards the end of last week,i set these ads up so we'll have a look,on the must be the 27th,first day of having this account,27th to the 27th,and you can see in the first day ten,dollars were spent 2.25 and if we look,at the other campaigns that i had set up,so this here is a complete payment,complete payment campaign so out of the,two this audience this started spending,759 dollars by the end of the day it,started spending a bit more budget,if we look at the cbo test that only,spent five cents that's at fifty dollars,per day,uh and what i did to get that up is i,then set up this traffic campaign as,well so i was just testing out multiple,different things so you can see i spent,uh almost nine dollars on traffic uh,which is this is just a traffic,converter it's not conversion it's just,traffic uh we'll have a look here,it's just a traffic ad,um so that's set up nine dollars and,then also the ad to cart one also spent,about 12.87 and a little bit on the um,view content uh and then obviously after,that started happening then the spend,started to increase so the 28th which is,obviously the friday let's have a look,at the results for this day,okay so on this day you can now see i,turned off these initial campaigns and,there wasn't any point keeping the,spending,uh and then on the next day the,conversion rate um,sorry the complete payment audience test,started spending now this is 20 per day,so it's only spent 10.45 so it's still,not reaching its maximum spend but it is,spending some money they also the cost,per click was horrendously high for this,day,you can also see the cbo only spent,three dollars on this day so it's still,pretty poor performance but we are,starting to get some spending happening,we look on the 29th,around the 29th,and you can see here now we're starting,to get to the realms where things are,actually working a lot better,so third day,the audience test 14.76 spent out of the,total twenty dollars uh good cost per,clicks now good cards good checkouts i,think there were a couple of conversions,but nothing actually tracked on ads and,that could have come through organic,traffic from my our last um,ad account,so,that's obviously started spending and,then the cbo's also started spending and,then i think uh yesterday i actually,turned off the ads uh just because the,performance wasn't the best but at least,that was tracking yeah so i turned off,the ads so yesterday they didn't run but,that gives you an idea of how things,worked out uh obviously straight into the,video here,and i'm going to show you guys my exact,strategy kind of what i'm working on in,the early stages this is pretty much a,live audit like this is today of my tic,toc ad account of this brand that i'm,scaling and i just started playing,around with the value which is really,cool normally i have a ton of videos,right on lowest cost and cost cap,bidding which i think is super cool i,will show you guys in a second,how they match up and rank but,even if you get the tiniest bit of,information out of this video it's huge,because you can apply it straight to,your ad account,i'd rather make these type of videos for,you,rather than the 14 day drop shipping,challenge or,top 10 products of,july or top 10 products you wouldn't,with like a click bait thumbnail and all,this stuff just to get clout views and,it's all very gorgeous,today junior regurgitated content which,i don't really think uh you deserve and,your time shouldn't be wasted,so let's get right as i said again let's,get right into this value optimization,strategy here,so before if you if you haven't watched,my previous video you know that i was,doing a lot of cost cap bidding inside,this ad account and now we're really,moving on and testing different things,so we're taking the winning ad groups,that we already have our winning ad,groups that perform really well and now,we're testing value optimization,so it's similar to what bids that i'm,testing on value optimization and cost,cap so this was the first bid of value,minimum row as i launched yesterday at,2.77 that was the minimum row as that i,selected and you could see here 14 cents,epc crushed it cpm under two dollars,and the cpa not even tracked correctly,in my opinion,you know,very like 60 to 70 being tracked i don't,know why the pixel's been weird lately,but,cpa amazing,um,compared to even the cost caps cost cap,cpa was like 15 to about 25 cpa and,we're still hitting 30 to 40 margins on,the store,obviously right this is still low scale,but i'm telling you guys almost what i'm,doing and what i'm going to continue to,do into this ad account and across all,the brands that i'm working on and,working with,so we have this one,value optimization at group 2.77 with an,automated creative optimization,targeting us,no no interest super broad 18 to 55 plus,male female,aco and 712 ads is the date that we,uploaded these new ad creatives in like,i said once i get new ads as well i'm,gonna be taking my winning bids,and ad groups and just plugging in my,new creatives and inside this ad ad,group i have three to five add creatives,and three,ad texts okay three ad copies,with,dynamic cta or call to action on so i,decided hey i'm gonna test 2.77 bid and,a 3.33 row as bit just to see how it,goes obviously the 2.77 did better much,better than the 3.3 but it still,performed well and what i'm seeing,is my normal cost per add to cart is,around six to eight dollars on this,product on these ad groups it hit two to,three dollars obviously like,there's only 60 bucks spent on these ad,groups and the significance isn't as,high as i would like to but i'm gonna,keep you guys updated throughout the,days as well on how these are performing,over time,but what i did today was i duplicated,that 2.77 row as one and now i'm gonna,be testing in one cent increments,again if you have watched another,previous video you know i'm trying to,keep this a bit lower scale until the,payment processing can you know get,settled and that should be this week so,after this week i'm going to really,scale this up for you guys and you'll,see like you'll come back to this video,be like oh damn like,look look where he was and where he is,now i'm doing this live like this is,today guys you're in my computer i'm not,faking anything but basically the,strategy is i'm taking this bid at 2.77,don't i mean i don't really have a,reasoning why i started 2.77 it's just a,bit i started with and now i'm going in,one cent increments 2.78 one of the great things about paid,digital marketing is all of the control,you have over your campaigns you get to,determine the ad creative the targeting,what your budget is all sorts of,different things but the problem with,having that much control is that you,then have a lot of changes that you need,to make regularly to make sure that,you're getting the best performance from,them,some channels do have options that are,helping to do that through automated,rules we already have a couple of videos,on the channel that go through those the,first is for google ads and you can,check that out right here and the second,one is going to be for facebook ads and,you can check that one out right here,each one of those videos will walk you,through how they work and what the,different options are and this video is,going to be in addition to that tiny,automated rule library today we're going,to talk about tick tock automated rules,i'm going to show you where to find them,in the interface what they do and how,you can start using them to optimize,your campaigns,in the tick tock ads manager they make,it really easy to find the automated,rules they're just right above the,campaigns where they're listed if we,want to we can just click the drop down,here and we can create a new rule or we,can manage the rules you can see here,that since this is still a relatively,new feature tick tock still has this,little helpful bubble that talks about,increasing control and efficiency you,can set automated rules to send,notifications or make changes to your,ads when they meet certain conditions,they even went so far as to misspell ads,love it so to get started let's just go,ahead and click create new rule,that will open this window off to the,right where we can build all of our,automated rules in tiktok so let's just,go through the builder over here it's,broken into a number of different,sections so at the top we have different,templates of rules that we can use that,tic-tac already has built for us and the,middle section down here is going to be,where you set up which portions of your,account the automated rules apply to as,well as the conditions themselves and,then down below we'll have the different,settings for the rules so the first,thing you'll notice is that in the apply,rule 2 section since i did not check the,box next to a campaign name it will,apply the rule to all active campaigns,if i want to select only certain,portions of the account i can click the,drop down here and then i can select all,active ad groups all active ads and then,there are also the inactive sections of,the account that you can apply it to as,well but if you want an automated rule,to apply only to a specific campaign,you'll need to check the box next to,that campaign when you get started and,create a new rule that would apply to,just that campaign for now i'm just,going to uncheck this and we'll go,through the builder as is let's start,off by walking through some of the,templates that tiktak has available for,us,you can see here that right now i'm on,the create a custom rule section we'll,do that in just a little bit but there,are two rules sections that i can't use,the schedule delivery and unlock,potential because they can't be applied,to campaigns and ads in this unlocked,potential section and they can't be,applied to something that is active to,schedule delivery because it's already,delivering so you can't really schedule,it to turn something on that's already,on so let's go over to the enhanced,performance section says it will,increase the budget for ads that are,performing well and this is a feature,that most other platforms don't have are,these templates you'll see when i click,on this enhanced performance template,that the section of the condition and,actions have changed to now we have an,if then condition that is built out to,help you adjust the lifetime budget,based on the performance of your account,if i come back up here and we look at,the control budget template you'll,notice that it completely changed the,conditions and actions again to reflect,a strategy where you turn off ads with,unexpected high costs so these templates,are really helpful and they make it easy,to start off with a rule that's already,built so that you're not doing things,from scratch even though i'm not going,to show you what they look like because,i'm not eligible for those types of,rules you can do the same sort of,process with the unlock potential and,schedule delivery rules by just clicking,on them and letting the condition and,action section reset for that additional,strategy so now let's start to go,through the condition and action section,down here and talk about how this works,as you can see with the naming,convention tick tock uses an if then set,up in here so if certain conditions are,met,then this action will be taken so in,this automated rule if the lifetime,budget spend rate is greater than and,then there's a different field that you,can add in a different percenta
