Rock ads manager once you are,in your typical ads manager make sure to,go to your ad level and then go to an ad,that you want to preview let's say it is,this one now if you cover this,particular ad you will see here like,this three small dots click here and,then click on the preview now if you,have here two options you could preview,your ad by scanning the QR code with the,latest version of tick tock where you,could use the user ID now sometimes with,a QR code I've tried but it didn't,really work for me in your case it might,work however when it comes to my user id,it always works now to find the user ID,go to your word Tick Tock like you know,Tick Tock page when you're a mobile and,then what you want to do next is click,here on the right side corner at the top,like on this kind of menu bar and then,settings and privacy scroll all the way,down right here and where it says like a,version 25 in your case depending on,when you're watching this video you want,to click here like one of this section,where it says kind of this version then,you will see the uid pretty much this is,your user ID you want to copy it just,simply click on it you know save it,somewhere maybe you could send it I,don't know on Google Docs through,Messenger whatever works for you and,pretty much you know paste right here,where it says your user ID,after you paste it simply click on this,button that says preview now you want to,go back to your Tick Tock you know page,when you're mobile you want to refresh a,little bit your like your main profile,page and then go to your feed you know,to your for your page and here you need,to refresh your page sometimes it may,take up to like 10 times your first base,page until this ad is going to populate,now I've just got this creative which is,our advert we're running and here is the,Golden Nugget that I want to you know,talk about with how you could leverage,this particular option by previewing,your ads to take your business to a,whole new level and that is comments so,right here this creative cut over 30,comments so what I want to pay attention,to is what kind of questions these,people are asking what kind of concerns,they have what are they saying let's say,we have this like a person that is,asking is this real deal where you you,know some kind of emoji so what we could,you know assume and think about from,this question is they are wondering if,these like products this particular you,know jewelry they are you know like a,real silver or not now taking this,feedback we could go ahead and improve,this at creatives let's say by having,some visuals that will prove that they,are real we have to make some kind of,research and you know find out with what,actually makes this product kind of like,in what kind of way to show through our,visuals that they are real the next,thing is you know like a good song,Choice all right what do you learn you,know it's pretty much the song impacts,how they perceive this ad so again we,have another person that is asking what,kind of song yeah like as you can see we,have quite a lot of thing a lot of,people they are asking about the song,probably this has like a big impact on,whichever performance of this ad which,you know just from these comments we,could go ahead and adjust the next set,creators and use something similar use,maybe some other next background songs,that will day so we can get ourselves in front of our ideal ,customer multiple times a day on average now as
of january 2021 tick tock raked in 128 million in ,user spending marking an increase of 380 from its
january 2020 revenue so it's growing year on year ,almost 4x in user revenue now take top ranks
as the second biggest app in consumer spend ,above youtube disney plus and netflix this
is probably the uh the biggest stat on this ,screen ranking above youtube and netflix in
consumer spend is absolutely ridiculous so ,it's a monumental opportunity for people and
businesses to sell their products on the platform ,how many times have you spoken to someone they've
said ah i found that product on tick tock it's ,happening a lot these days so let's jump on to how
you can actually make the most of that so this is ,the tick tock ad structure so at the top we have
tick tocks ad manager then we have ad campaigns ,we have ad groups we have ad creative and then
landing pages to break these down one by one tick ,doc ads manager is where you manage your ticktock
advertising account similar to the facebook ,ad manager now a ad campaign is the foundation
of your ad so we're setting up our advertising ,objectives and formats we then have ad group which
is target audiences ad placements budget and the ,bidding then we have the ad creative which is
the text and the video that will appear on our ,apps what we're physically seeing then finally our
landing page and this is the destination url that ,we are driving our potential customers too this
is the place where they will actually buy our ,products or service so when you actually have your
tick tock ad account up and running this is kind ,of what the format will look like we have our ad
manager at the top we have campaigns beneath that ,then inside an ad campaign we would have multiple
ad groups so we'll be testing out multiple ,audiences and inside those audiences we may even
be testing out multiple different ad creatives ,as well so what are the actual creative the the
creative formats that we can use on tick tock well ,we have top view on the left hand side here which
is like a full-size video which shows up when we ,launch the app we don't have brand tank takeover
now these are the most expensive tic toc ads and ,very large brands use these and again these come
up right at the start of launching the app and it ,takes over the entire screen then have in feed ads
this is what we're going to be going through today ,and what most businesses are actually using

tick tock is the most recent ad platform,to roll out lead generation,campaigns facebook i believe was the,first one to have them,quite a number of years ago linkedin has,had them for a while,even google has some variants that can,show up in different places around the,network,i think this move from tick tock is,important for a couple of different,reasons,first it's just a good sign that they're,investing more in the ad,platform they're one of the newer ad,platforms and they're still coming out,with,new opportunities and ways to target,users,even if they are something that other,channels have it's just a good sign that,they're trying to grow and make sure,that it's a good environment for,everybody involved,second with the changes to ios 14 it's,getting more and more difficult to track,user behavior and attribute performance,online,we're not able to use those third-party,cookies nearly as much and in the future,they're going to get even worse,the beauty of lead generation ads is,that all of the performance and,reporting is contained right within the,ad platform,it all happens on tick tock so all the,performance is there,we don't have to rely on any sort of,third party tracking,i'm really excited about lead generation,campaigns going out to more channels,so today i want to run you through how,to set up your first lead generation,campaign on tick tock,once you're in the tick tock ads,campaign manager,we're just going to go to create a new,campaign to do that we need to go to the,campaign,management tab and then down here we can,click create just like most other social,advertising platforms the first thing,we're going to do is choose our,objective,if i scroll down a little bit you'll see,that lead generation is this one down,here in the bottom of the consideration,column and it still has the new next to,the name so i'm going to click lead,generation,once i've done that i can come down here,to the settings section and i can give,this a name if i want to,for now i'm just going to get rid of all,these terrible numbers i'll leave,everything else as it is and click,continue,now basically everything at the ad group,level is going to be something we've,already covered in a previous video,everything from placements to the,targeting,that you have available we've covered in,a different video that you can check out,in the top of your screen now,around all the different targeting,options that are on tick tock i'm going,to skip down,past all of that and stop at the budget,and schedule section because i need to,put in a daily budget here and just as a,placeholder i'm going to put in 20,because it tells me it needs to be at,least 20.,and now if we scroll down a little bit,to bidding and optimization the last,settings here,we'll find the first portion that is,lead generation,campaign specific you can see here that,the optimization goal is set for leads,and there is no way to change that it's,going to optimize for leads,always with a lead generation campaign,this is just the same as any of the,other social platforms out there,that leverage lead generation this isn't,too terribly different the one piece,that is different is that there is a,cost cap bid strategy on any of the,other platforms you have a few different,options of what bid strategies you want,to use for lead generation but on tick,tock,you have to add in your cost cap and,that is going to be,what the average cost per lead that you,want to pay is that doesn't guarantee,that you are going to only pay that,amount for each lead it just means that,tick tiktok is going to try and optimize,for that cost per lead for you,if you hover over the cost cap name you,will get a small graphic off to the,right,it says this is best for keeping your,average cost per result around or,lower than your bid regardless of your,budget and things to consider here,are that you may not spend your budget,fully if your,cost per conversion is set too low if,you set it too low,you're not giving ticktack enough room,to learn and optimize and try to get you,as many leads as it can within your,budget so,depending on what your main goal is,whether it's volume and scale or whether,it's efficiency,make sure that you use a cost per lead,goal that makes sense here,for now i'm just going to set it to five,dollars now that we've done that let's,hop,into the add portion and get more into,the nitty gritty of the lead generation,setup,you can start off by giving your ad a,name but then you'll see that the only,ad format that we are allowed to use,currently is a single video so we don't,need to do any other adjustments here,that's going to be the only option we,can use and rather than spending most of,my time,on the actual ad details itself i think,that's better conversion tracking is an important part,out of any paid media campaign and that,functionality is available in the tick,tock ads manager and we're going to,cover three main things about conversion,and event tracking within tick tock the,first and most important thing is,getting the tic tac pixel on your,website you can't do any sort of,tracking unless you have the pixel setup,i'm only going to cover the tag manager,way to do this but we will show you a,few other options you have to get it on,your website as well as a few other,partners you can use depending on what,cms you're using,then we'll cover the main parts about,conversion and event tracking the first,will be url based conversions think,about it as a thank you page a,confirmation page or maybe just a higher,level like an add to cart page it's,pretty simple and then last we'll go,over the event tracking this is going to,be like click based button tracking,other certain elements on your website,to see where users are engaging after,they click on your ad and then you'll be,able to see how you can view all these,actions and conversions within the,ticktock ads manager dashboard,i'm on the main campaign screen in,tiktok ads manager so in order to start,setting up anything with events or your,pixel we need to head up to assets and,there we see events i haven't done,anything with apps on tick tock yet so,for this video we're solely going to be,working with web events so i'm going to,click manage for this option,and i created a new account just so we,can walk through these steps because it,says clear right in front of our faces,right now in order to create any,conversions or any click events we need,to install the pixel first so let's go,and create the pixel and i'm going to,choose the tick tock pixel option not,going to cover api here so chose that,going to hit next if you want to you can,copy and paste the code into your,website your landing page your cms,whatever you prefer i'm going to choose,this option here because right under my,mouse you can see that we can use google,tag manager it's going to be the easiest,way but first i'm going to have to name,the pixel otherwise it won't let me move,forward all right just paste it in a,name i'm going to select the partner,platforms and there we see a few options,common brands like shopify and square,choose the one that's best for you in my,case i'm going to use google tag manager,and then i'm going to hit next and there,it's going to ask if i want to connect,with google tag manager understand that,this connect process might be different,depending on which partner you chose but,pretty much in any one of our previous,videos on event tracking we do use,google tag manager i'm just going to hit,connect what i couldn't show you because,i had to blur out a lot of stuff is that,i selected the appropriate google,account and then i selected the correct,tag manager account and container so now,that that is connected go down a little,bit i'm going to choose standard mode,because i don't know how to use custom,website code so i'm going to leave it,pretty simple,i'm going to turn on automatic advanced,matching and then i'm going to enter the,website url to see if our pixel was,installed properly pasted the url in,there and now we can verify,and there we see the code was verified,so now we can go to the next step and,now we see there are a few different,ways we can create events to track,specific actions one of the easiest ways,to track it is with url events this is,if you have dedicated confirmation pages,thank you pages add to cart pages that,you would want to track specific steps,so tic tac is going to call it url,keywords but think of it as more as your,url contains these words let me show you,first i'm going to go up and select the,type of event you'd want to track you,can see there are a few options here so,place an order search submit form,subscribe view content if it's just,looking at a specific page there's the,add to cart so we do see a few different,options i'm just going to go down and,select the submit form option,and i want to put in certain keywords,that are part of the url of the page a,user is going to land on after they,submit a form on our website,so this is just one thank you page we,have on the website added that to the,url contains field if you want to so i,can add in a different url if i want to,combine multiple form submits into one,event type you see i cannot change it to,an and may not be able to hear it but,i'm trying to click on this so it's not,going to have me add mandatory layers so,you cannot have a destination url event,where a user must visit one url but they,also must visit a second url it's not,how it works it's going to have or,functionality only your,demographic's not on tick tock but it,is so there's a way to go about it and,way to actually make this and you can,simply do this,you know using canva and then adding the,music into canva,using about three dollars,and 87 cents is what they're saying now,we're gonna see if that actually,transpires,but again when it comes down to it this,is the ad group so,there's three levels right the campaign,the ad group,and the ads you're currently running,right so similar to,just like facebook was or facebook is,for that matter,the facebook ads manager this is very,very much a,similar platform going to give you a bunch of,default templates now depending upon,your niche,that's where you're going to pick what,you want to use right now again these,need to have,sound to these so i want you to make,sure that you understand the,sound is a very much a um something that,needs to be,part of this right so just like similar,to instagram or something like that,where you would use,a video capture or something of that,nature but,this needs to be have have a good sound,so we're looking for a good,good solid video uh when it comes down,to it we're going to show,a couple things now i in my
