this on there and then I,thought you know what while I've got,this makeup on I'm gonna sit down and,film a video I mean it does look pretty,cool if I do say so myself but I would,not leave the house with this one anyway,in today's video I'm going to be testing,some things that I bought because of,tick tock these things that I've,purchased came up as an ad on my Tick,Tock feed you know every so often when,you're scrolling you keep going you keep,going and then an ad will pop up for a,random thing it seems to be the most,random things for me sometimes it's,beauty stuff and other stuff is like,cookie dough or a mattress or something,and these are some of the things that I,was genuinely curious in and so I,ordered them I think I've done something,like this before where I bought stuff,that was on Tick Tock lives I can't,remember if I've done an ads one but,here it is today let's just get into it,by the way if you want the details about,if you want the details this makeup it's,on my Instagram I listed all of the,products that I used okay so this first,Tick Tock ad that came up I actually had,a few different brands or accounts,posting the same product and basically,what I have generally found is that a,lot of the products that come up on Tick,Tock ads are sort of like Drop Shipping,type things so the company will purchase,a load of a particular product that's,just like a wholesale type product that,buy loads of them and then like Mark up,the price loads and sell them on their,website and I mean loads of stuff is,done by Drop Shipping anyway but just a,little hack here if you click on a,product on Tick Tock it comes up say,it's like 20 quid look at the sort of,brand name that's actually written on,that product in this example it is a lip,Plumping product and type that in on,Amazon or Ebay and it will probably come,up with loads of Cheaper things because,it's all the same brand and it's just,like bulk bought and then marked up for,higher prices on people's Tick Tock,shops but the brand in particular I,ended up seeing is called at syrup,cosmetics and in this ad it looks very,extreme there is a woman testing this,and this is no more lip fillers watch,till they end she's put this on half her,lips and the side that she's put it on I,mean to be fair it looks like she's had,an allergic reaction it's definitely,very plump on the side that she put it,on but it does look a little bit,dangerous so I clicked through to their,website it was a us-based website I,believe and it said it was the syrup day,and night lip plumper reduced from 50.95,to 28.95 lies it was never 50.95 in the,first place I can guarantee you sorry I,really feel like I'm going in on this,particular company like so many other,companies do this but they'll put like,was 50 now 28 dollars to sort of entice,you and be like oh it's a good deal it's,on sale when in reality I went on Amazon,typed in the roll lip plumper because,that's what's actually written on it and,I got the exact same thing for nine,pounds this one seems to be the daytime,one this one seems to be the nighttime,one but I don't know what the difference,is I think honestly I'm just gonna put,both of them on and hope for the best I,might actually try it on one half of my,lips they're very small teeny tiny,little they look like pills in the,information it just says daytime use,ginger Essence lips plump use at night,mint Night Repair moist lips double,effect unification collocation is used,for plump lips,I'm confused let's try the daytime one,so these are my lips before,well I mean I guess what's up marketers i'm super excited,about today's video because it's,actually going to be my first one about,tick tock ads now if you follow me over,on twitter you already know what a huge,tick tock ads fan i am i am super,bullish on this platform and i think it,has the most potential for growth in,2022. think like facebook ads in 2017.,this is why i'm stoked to partner with,my very good friend need to,test right now on the platform many of,these i learned directly from savannah,they are pure gold as to what is,actually working on this platform and,frankly they're also what is performing,on facebook ads as well so let's go,ahead and dive right in the first,strategy is what i like to call a,problem solution ad now this is actually,a pretty standard approach to creating,not only all user generated types of,content but also just most types of ads,but what makes this tick tock specific,of course is the use of different types,of tick tock style font and also the,different types of transitions but,here's the actual recipe that i use to,create that kind of content first we,like to describe the problem in the hook,so that's within the first three seconds,of the ad and i like to use i statements,with quotations it makes it seem a,little bit more relatable and then after,that you agitate or elaborate more on,the problem and then you present your,product or service as the solution to,that problem and then describe the,how-to of your product or service this,is really common more like,subscription-based brands or if you have,to take some kind of quiz to get matched,up to your specific type of product or,whatever and then you can add in as many,benefits and features as you want and,then end with a really catchy cta and,strategy number two definitely a,savannah special is the tick tock made,me buy it ad and the recipe here is,pretty self-explanatory in the hook you,use the phrase tic toc made me buy it or,some variation of that phrase and i like,to do two things here i either like to,have it overlaying with a video or image,of the actual product or of someone's,face then you get to introduce the,product of course if you already didn't,do that in the first hook,but i like to encourage my creators to,think like an influencer here um you,know really think about how you can show,it more aesthetically use some golden,hour lighting or do some fun transitions,and then you can go into as many,benefits or features as you want and,then end with a catchy cta number three,is a goodie and i might say that it's my,current fave i've actually personally,used this strategy across multiple,clients and for one client in particular,i'm not kidding it cut the cpa on,facebook ads in half practically,overnight,so if you have to choose one strategy to,test out of all 10 of these,i might try this one and this is the,tick tock response strategy and the,recipe here looks like this in the hook,you have to use the tick tock response,bubble and try to make it look as native,as possible i would go ahead and do it,right in the tik tok ads app and then,export it out and then compile the rest,inside of premiere pro or cap cut and i,would actually encourage you guys to,test as many different things inside of,that tick tock response bubble as you,can and i would actually encourage you,guys to test several different types of,messaging within that tick tock response,bubble and my suggestions here would be,to think about the inherent value of,your product or think about specific,benefits that you hear over and over,again and try to keep the tone really,really casual you want it to feel like,it's something that someone would be,responding to a piece of content on,tiktok and i've also seen that using,emojis directly in that bubble tends to,help as well after that i like to follow,up with a strong positive testimonial,about the product and then go through,the different product variations or even,a how-to using the green screen method,or showing the website flow then throw,in another strong testimonial or benefit,and then close out with a strong cta and,then number four is what internally at,theseus we call the stepwise video now i,have made other videos where i featured,this ad type before,and i still really recommend it i,believe what savannah calls this is the,three reasons why strategy and here's,how the recipe entertaining  ,nature of tick tock ads so it might be perfect  for your brand this video is perfect for beginners  ,we're not going to skip any steps but i'm also  going to go into some advanced things around  ,content because that is so important to make sure  that you make tick tock ads work the first step  ,you're going to want to do is set up your shopify  store if you haven't set up your shopify store  ,just pause the video click the link in my bio and  set it up now we've got one set up through our  ,lemon scrub series so it's got most of the things  ready we're just going to make sure that we set up  ,tiktok properly so the pixel is firing once you're  in shopify the best way to go is go into apps and  ,just write in tiktok simply download the official  tiktok app and click carry on watching we're going to get  ,into the nitty gritty in a second once this is set  up we can click this section here setting up the  ,pixel the next step you can see that it's saying  connect tick tock for business this is where you  ,need a new tick tock account already have a tick  tock business account you can just click connect  ,but today we're gonna have to create a brand new  one so i'm just gonna click create new at the top  ,enter my email address get the verification code  sent into the verification code here agree to  ,terms and conditions and just click sign up you  can click connect down the bottom right and that's  ,now created an ads manager business manager under  that email we can click create new ad account and  ,we can select the country and the currency that we  want to be built in this is generally the region  ,that you want to be targeting change the business  name to something a little bit simpler click sign  ,up and connect you'll come to this data sharing  section which we've touched on a few times in my  ,previous episodes just click enhanced or maximum  providing you've got the terms and conditions set  ,up for something and then click confirm maximum  is obviously preferred this is how shopify shares  ,data with ticktock this is referred to as capi  which is a partnership between shopify and the  ,advertising platform click set up enter your final  details make sure you connect automatic payment  ,click confirm and you should be ready to go now  to create tick-tock ads we're actually going to  ,have to go back to the tick-tock
