hey youtube ryan here again i'm going to,be talking about tick tock today,and that sounds kind of weird coming,from me because i some people have,spoken to me privately probably know,like i've,kind of disregarded tik tok for a long,time something really crazy happened,to my brand sales over the last week,that,i found actually to be attributed to,tick tock primarily,so there was a four day period where my,brand sold 160 000,in a four-day period right that's just,on amazon and so,when i saw the sales were increasing so,drastically my eyebrows raised and i,started to want to pay attention to tick,tock right,i see you know the fact that it has not,been,banned in the us and i don't think it,will be there's so many users on tick,tock so if you have an audience,that you're trying to sell your products,to that's under the age of 30 which i do,it's a channel that can be used very,effectively to sell products,before last week i really just thought,it was a place for people to just go,and watch time-wasting videos but,there's actually a lot more potential,there that i was completely ignoring,maybe because i'm you know over 30 years,old so i'm not really like a user of,tech talk but now that i am a user,and i've been looking at the marketing,potential of it as well as the,effect that it's had on my business i,wanted to make a video,to talk about a few things first what,was it that drove,this growth for my sales that i see,actually is maintaining even though it,was like a four day period that was 160k,my sales are still like 30 to 40 percent,up,prior to this event on tick tock,happening so i'm going to talk about,what it was that basically happened,so that you can start spending time on,tick tock and maybe replicate these,results,if you are really watching it closely,second thing i want to talk about is,there's updates with,shopify and tick-tock so if you have a,shopify store,there's something that you should do,that i'm going to go over and even if,you don't have a shopify store there's,something that you should definitely,look into doing as soon as possible,tiktok has,so many users and a lot of potential for,most of the people watching this so,um that's basically what we're going to,talk about today if you're new to the,channel my name is ryan rigney i am,an eight-figure amazon fba seller i sell,my brand's products on amazon as well as,on shopify,the point of this channel is to help,people who are trying to grow their,amazon sales or to grow their e-commerce,brand,find tips tricks tactics that are not so,obvious,to do that so it's there really isn't,like a structured format for the videos,i just go over things that i'm thinking,about or working on,things that i share with my private,students in my brand boost blueprint,program as well so if that sounds good,to you and this type of information is,interesting,hit subscribe drop a comment like the,video,that makes me more likely to want to,make more videos if i see people are,actually,watching it so with that said let's get,into what it was that caused,this spike in my sales so i was like,going about my day,like normal checking my sales like,towards the afternoon and i,noticed that you know my sales were like,two times what they usually were on a,day so i was like really kind of,taken aback like what happened did one,of my products go viral i couldn't,seem to figure out what was driving the,traffic um,i looked at facebook i looked at,instagram i looked at,youtube i looked for news press releases,i looked for all these things and then i,was just thinking,where is a lot of the attention right,now a lot of the attention,is on tick tock of course the user base,has grown,dramatically over the last year since,january of 2018 tick tock's user base,has grown by over 800 percent,there's now about 91 million active,users in the united states which is,absolutely crazy considering the,population of the us is 328 million,ish maybe like 330 million by now so the,fact that there's 91 million active,users in the us and there's like 330,million in the us like that's a pretty,big,portion so i looked on tick talk i,looked at hashtags relating to my,products that were going viral,and i saw that there was sort of like a,challenge going on,that related to one of my products,and there was really it wasn't even,anything fancy it was like somebody who,shot a selfie video,and they did like a challenge so they,did a thing like on tick tock they do,these things called challenges and,they record a video they record some,audio and then people take the audio,they record their own video using the,audio and then they kind of participate,in the challenge and i noticed that,there was something like 8 million,impressions,on this this audio clip and there was,there were a couple thousand videos that,were,using this audio clip over and over,again so,what i did was i took part in it as well,i created,a tech talk for my brand i made videos,for the brand very simple stuff like,very,low effort and at the end of

so for a long time now people have,speculated and said that bringing,traffic from off amazon does really well,for your listing amazon loves when you,bring your traffic over and so for that,reason i decided to put it to the test,and try organic marketing you know tick,tock and other platforms,to see how that does for my product and,i'll teach you exactly in this video,what i did and what i learned from this,whole process hey what's up everyone,yaniv here and welcome back to a new,video if you guys are new here and you,don't know what we do basically we put,out course level information for,absolutely free you know for those of,you who don't have enough money for an,amazon fba program or are just not ready,to invest in one right now as you can,see beginning of july in august,september you know you have like the two,and a half months here basically you can,see that i was you know averaging about,50 sales per day uh and then,right around you know mid august you can,see that huge spike averaging maybe 95,100 sales for about a week there the,only thing that i did differently was uh,what i'm going to share with you today,right about there right about beginning,of august uh we started doing this and,it did take a little bit of time with,the tick tocks and and uh you know other,stuff that i was putting out all the,content i was putting out to actually,start seeing an effect on amazon,meaning it wasn't actually completely,you know in line it wasn't like i,started and then instantly saw the,results it took about a week for things,to mellow started to,increase our price because we were,selling too quickly we didn't have,enough time to get our inventory in and,uh right about that you know the the,lowest drop there,was because our main variation of our,product actually was completely out of,stock now we're you know back in stock,we are just you know kind of stabilizing,right now and i will be doing another,one of these you know kind flow what i,did and how in about seven days i,literally doubled my sales,so the first thing i want to talk to you,guys about is paid ads versus earned,media and it's super important to make,that distinction distinction because,while paid ads are you know possible to,do and you can really do them profitably,if you know you know what you're doing,overall earned media is actually the way,to go meaning you know putting out,organic content putting out different,kind of you know pieces of marketing out,there and allowing those social,platforms to actually push your content,to,people that it thinks will actually like,it and truly i believe the reason why,earned media is so important you know,the followers the the people come back,every single time to uh watch your,videos or you know kind of keep track of,the progress with your brand is because,you know paid ads are only getting more,and more competitive not only on ppc on,amazon but literally on facebook on,google you know everyone is trying to,kind of shortcut their way to success,with their brand and their business and,while that is possible to make a ton of,money with paid ads and paid ads,definitely play a role earned media i,think is the way of the future building,your audience building your brand and,building your culture within that so i,think that is definitely the way the,future uh biggest companies around the,world actually focus on earned media you,know they focus on growing a brand now,and then also um you know referrals and,stuff like that which can really only,come from you know your most dedicated,fans the people who will go around and,spread your product so basically what,i'm trying to say is you know paid ads,can seem sexy and kind of the way to get,rich quick um you know not focusing on,paid customers and focusing on uh,growing your audience and your and your,customers,you know through,actual organic content marketing i think,that is really the long-term future so,definitely focus on that now the truth,of what i'm going to show you and what i,did here is actually very hard work,right like paid ads seems super quick,super easy put that on you know and it,goes and you make a million dollars uh,obviously that's not the case but,what i'm gonna show you here is actually,you know very hard work and it's gonna,take a lot of time and truthfully 99 of,people who watch this video so i finally made money off a tick tock,influencer,and i've always been skeptical as far as,trusting any tick tock influencer,because in the past i have spent,hundreds of dollars,to try and promote my amazon fba,products and despite the fact that i got,one to two sales resulting in that tick,tock,it was never worth it to actually go,ahead and use these influencers,until now right so again guys this email,los angeles always here,amazon fba ecommerce to try and make and,save you money,but this video really going to be,important because i think,this might be a new way to try and,launch products,or to try go ahead and resurrect,products that have not been selling well,recently but like always let's get,straight to the facts let's get to this,video,so as i mentioned before i'm always so,skeptical to go ahead and recommend,using tiktok as a form of marketing for,your amazon fba products because it's,never really worked for me,right and this actual instance is a,little bit different,i was on a facebook group right and most,of the time i'm always going ahead and,trying to see what different amazon,sellers are going ahead and stating,what's happening,obviously because if i'm selling on,amazon it's important to me right,but this one was a little bit different,i was on one of hillian 10's uh facebook,groups,tick tock influencer was actually going,ahead and posting in the group,and stating that she wanted feedback,because,she hasn't been charging any amazon fba,seller for her post,but now that she has success and has the,sales to back it,up she wanted to see how much to,actually charge amazon fba sellers,whenever she promotes their products on,her tick tock page right,so like anybody else i was really,interested i messaged her,and said hey i'm an amazon fba seller,can you go ahead and please show me your,tick tock so basically she did,and let me go ahead and actually show,you the tick tock page,so basically this is the tik tok page,amazon cheats,on tick tock and basically what she does,is that she posts,actual videos of a product listing page,right and what she does is she shows a,regular price,and then she has a secret coupon to go,ahead and give,her followers discount so let's go ahead,and just go through a few recent ones,that she posted right,330.,and now 330 gets to 177.,and before you guys go ahead and be,reluctant as far as hey i don't want to,go ahead,and do discounts and this and that what,about somebody buys out my whole entire,stock,i want you to wait this is actually,really beneficial for you,but again i was skeptical just like you,so i decided why not pick one of my,products for her to go ahead and promote,and the product that i picked was,probably my slowest selling item,at this point in time and it's very,frustrating to talk about this item,because back in january of 2020,this item was actually my best seller,i was selling right around 30 to 40,units per day,on this item itself and when the whole,pandemic hit i had,items that were stuck in china and they,wouldn't be able to go ahead and get,shipped into united states right so this,happened right around february and march,and ever since i ran out of stock when i,got back into stock i can never,regain ranking right and it was very,very frustrating and i've tried,everything from ppc,to another influencer going ahead and,promoting it i've tried going ahead and,changing keywords up,it's never worked so basically let me go,ahead and just show you in the back end,right so,this is my back end in helium 10 if you,guys don't know what helium 10 is it's,basically,the only software i currently use for,anything in my amazon fba business,um it goes ahead and shows you different,tools follow-ups ads,profits i love this actual software this,is the only software i will ever hey everyone Scott here and can you believe it's
been two years since i first uploaded a video ,on amazon attribution it's actually one of the
first videos i ever uploaded on my channel and ,still a popular one right now so i thought it'd
be a good idea to do an updated training since ,there's been some changes since my last video
you can even get some money back from amazon ,from sales you generate using amazon
attribution which i'll also cover in ,this video plus i have a couple more years of
experience using amazon attribution so this ,video will have everything you need to know
about how to use it plus i'll share some of ,the best practices i've learned along the way

and let's go ahead and get right into it,so first we should go over what is amazon
attribution amazon attribution is a tool ,developed by amazon that tracks sales that come
from external traffic so places like Facebook ads ,Instagram you know Pinterest TikTok Google ads
or any of the other platforms out there and it ,doesn't have to be paid advertising it could be
free organic traffic as well so for example if ,you want to track how many sales come from an
email that you send to an email list or maybe ,you have a blog that is directing to your amazon
listing on track how many sales are coming from ,that blog or maybe have an influencer you're
working with you want to see how many sales ,that influencer is generating you can use amazon
attribution for all of that now amazon attribution ,is a url-based tracking method so what that
means is the tracking is done by adding a ,tag to your standard url and then when someone
clicks on it amazon tracks what happens after that ,they track you know things like uh amazon listing
views they track add to carts they track sales and ,a lot of other metrics as well so that's different
than a lot of other ad platforms that maybe use ,pixels like facebook ads or cookies to do the
tracking that's because amazon doesn't allow ,sellers to place cookies or pixels onto the amazon
website at least at this point in time and really ,i don't see them ever allowing it so they're using
the url method so right here i have a normal url ,this is a standard amazon listing url also called
the canonical url this will take you directly to ,the amazon listing and this is what it looks
like once you've generated an attribution tag ,from that url i highlighted in the orange part
the actual tag part that's added to the end ,of the url now if you click on either one of these
links you'll end up in the exact same place and ,it will look exactly the same there's really no
difference to the person that's clicking on it the ,only difference is that the url that you'll see
up in the browser is a little bit different so the ,first step before getting into creating the tags
is to determine what you're tracking this will ,make things a lot easier when you go to create
the tags so for example are you tracking just one ,product with that tag are you going to be tracking
a group of products are you going to be tracking ,all of your products so once you decide that you
also want to decide how detailed you want to be ,so using facebook ads as an example you could
track all the sales coming from facebook using ,one single amazon attribution tag that means that
no matter what ad generated to sell it'd still be ,tracked through that link the downside to that
though is you can't tell which individual ad is ,actually creating the sale for you another way
you could do it is you could use a separate tag ,for every single ad that you have the upside
to that is that you'll be able to tell ,which ad is creating the sell for you on amazon
so the ones that are working keep going and the ,ones that aren't working you can go ahead and
turn off for me personally i prefer to be on the ,more detailed side because of the more detailed
tracking you can get so let's get into creating an ,amazon attribution campaign now you can find
it easily by going to your ppc manager or ,campaign manager within your amazon account
go over to the left column over here go to ,measurement and reporting click on there and
you'll see amazon attribution right there so ,the first thing you want to do is come down
here and click create campaign the next is to ,choose your creation method typically i'll just
do it manually but if you're using facebook ads ,or google ads there is a way to create all your
tracking links in bulk so you just come down here ,you select whether you're using facebook ads or
instagram ads or google ads and then you go ahead ,and download the template file here and follow
the instructions on the template file but for this ,video i'm going to go ahead and go into creating
one manually the first thing we want to do is ,name the campaign so think of the campaign as a
