marriage with a rich girl.,- I've gotten ads for parks,,ads for like fake veneers and
ads for working for TikTok.,Some are for super small Etsy shops.,Some are for larger corporations.,Some play into TikTok trends,,or try to mimic the normal videos,you might see on your for you page,,and some are incredibly
low effort and confusing.,Like, what is this product,
and why is it so pixelated?,And I also know that other
people notice these ads as well,and can relate to getting blasted,by the same one for weeks on end.,- This is a plea to the
marketing people at HALARA.,Please, stop targeting me to
buy your mini tennis dress.,- Every time they open the app.,- Wow, I sure love my HALARA dress.,(sobs) It's, it's really cute!,- But TikTok does have a
very targeted algorithm.,I should know. I've been on
Edgar Allen Poe Tok before,,so maybe they do know best,,and maybe I will like
the things they show me.,So that's what we're gonna
do, buy the first five things,that TikTok ads recommend

pretty much just ignoring,the first ad that comes up
right when you open the app,,because I usually find that
those are for movies, TV shows,or big companies like Credit Karma,,and I'm more interested in
their normal ad inventory,rather than the big banner ones,,which feel less targeted overall.,The other disclaimer is that
rather than just sitting,in one spot and just scrolling,until I get to all of the ads,,I'm gonna open the app up multiple times,throughout the day and
get my five ads that way,,just because that more closely replicates,the way I use TikTok on the daily,,compulsively opening the app,,scrolling through a few videos,,feeling guilty about wasting
time and then closing the app.,Alright, and with that,
let's ruin my algorithm.,Alright, so I've been scrolling,,and TikTok gave me a pretty good ad here.,This is an ad for Pizza
Hut's new limited edition,,streetwear line, Tastewear.,- They don't just sell pizza
anymore. They make streetwear.,And it's called Tastewear,
so let's get into it.,- Yes, that's right, Pizza
Hut made a track suit,,and they're advertising it to
me, which is weirdly targeted.,I am not necessarily the
world's biggest Pizza Hut fan,,but I am a huge fan of companies,doing weird PR things, including clothing.,KFC Crocs, sign me up.
Peeps Crocs, I'm there.,Pizza Hut parka, I mean, I have that.,I don't actually follow a
lot of brands on TikTok,,but I have posted a fair amount of videos,with weird clothing, including
the aforementioned Crocs,,so maybe that's what tipped them off.,So I am gonna get all of this
stuff, or as much as I can.,They have a jumpsuit that's inspired,by the plaid tablecloths

let me just,keep going here so let me show you how I,got those two hundred and thirty six,subscribers okay so I took this survey,here guys like three days ago saying hey,so you know super curious to know how,did you find out about my channel so 33,percent said they found me through,tick-tock okay I was like cool so now,now I like I like to know numbers that's,just me right so I was like okay so out,of the last 28 days how many of those,came from tick tock so I kind of did,some calculations here so you can see in,the last 28 days I have 716 subscribers,so a 33% of that is 236 subscribers let,me show you how the numbers worked okay,so I had 10,000 profile views correct,remember I showed you that screenshot,here so in the last 28 days I had 10,000,profile these okay meaning people,actually click through to my profile on,tick tock and let me show you what my,profile looks like this is my profile,here so they can literally click on my,youtube channel okay and that's what,that means so 10,000 people actually,went to my profile that's what the,10,000 means okay so let me show you the,numbers so out of 10,000 people about,25% of those people click through my,YouTube channel they click the button so,that gives me about 25 and this should,be 25 here you go so a lot you know,10,000 times 0.25 which is about 2500,actually click to my YouTube channel,right just based on that so 10 percent,of those actually subscribed to my,channel so that's about 250 which is uh,you know close to the 33 percent so this,is really about you know probably about,8 to 9 percent if you really want to get,deep but I was just trying to make the,numbers easier for you guys but anyways,so in the last 28 days you know you know,if we have 716 YouTube subscribers and,33 percent came from for your brand this video is perfect for beginners ,we're not going to skip any steps but i'm also
going to go into some advanced things around ,content because that is so important to make sure
that you make tick tock ads work the first step ,you're going to want to do is set up your shopify
store if you haven't set up your shopify store ,just pause the video click the link in my bio and
set it up now we've got one set up through our ,lemon scrub series so it's got most of the things

in shopify the best way to go is go into apps and ,just write in tiktok simply download the official
tiktok app and click add sales channel this is the ,exact same as facebook nowadays this will bring
up this little tick tock section down on the left ,hand store of your shopify store if you don't have
shopify still carry on watching we're going to get ,into the nitty gritty in a second once this is set
up we can click this section here setting up the ,pixel the next step you can see that it's saying
connect tick tock for business this is where you ,need a new tick tock account already have a tick
tock business account you can just click connect ,but today we're gonna have to create a brand new
one so i'm just gonna click create new at the top ,enter my email address get the verification code
sent into the verification code here agree to ,terms and conditions and just click sign up you
can click connect down the bottom right and that's ,now created an ads manager business manager under
that email we can click create new ad account and ,we can select the country and the currency that we
want to be built in this is generally the region ,that you want to be targeting change the business
name to something a little bit simpler click sign ,up and connect you'll come to this data sharing
section which we've touched on a few times in my ,previous episodes just click enhanced or maximum
providing you've got the terms and conditions set ,up for something and then click confirm maximum
is obviously preferred this is how shopify shares ,data with ticktock this is referred to as capi
which is a partnership between shopify and the ,advertising platform click set up enter your final
details make sure you connect automatic payment ,click confirm and you should be ready to go now
to create tick-tock ads we're actually going to ,have to go back to the tick-tock ads manager so
we can go ads.tichtalk.com you can see that our ,ad account has already been created to make sure
that we do have the pixel set up properly what i ,do recommend is going to your website and just
like facebook there's something called tic toc ,pixel helper and it's a chrome extension that you
can download and check if your pixel is firing ,on your website if it's not you may need to go
and fix that initially just download the chrome ,extension and you can see that our tick tock pixel
is set up here shopify set it up for us and it ,should be firing this is a page view because we're
on a page when you add a product to cart it should ,fire the add to cart pixel or if someone purchases
you can test a purchase and it will also fire that ,pixel in the exact right way so now we're in
the tiktok ads account we can go ahead and ,create our first campaign campaign structures
are really important to talk about it's what ,separates good advertisers from bad advertisers
that alongside really effective marketing content ,the basic structure is you have a campaign which
is what objective you are striving for if you've ,got something like a real estate business
it might be leads you're trying to collect ,leads but we've got a e-commerce business
so we want to get purchases then you've ,got the ad set level which is basically the
