in the last 90 days i've spent over 600,000,on tick tock ads with our clients and,every day we're migrating more and more,budget over from facebook to tick tock,and in today's video i'm going to be,covering the top five ways you can learn,from the lessons that i have after,spending six hundred thousand dollars on,tick tock ads,hello everyone my name is chase chapel,your favorite digital marketer here,let's get into this video so these are,the lessons from spending 600 000,dollars in tick tock ads and i would,have been far better off if i had,already learned these lessons in advance,or had somebody to really guide me,through the process of understanding,what it is that make tick tock ads,convert how to structure the audiences,and all of the learnings that we've had,from other platforms to be able to be,successful on tick tock ads and that's,exactly what i'm going to be doing today,is i'm going to be walking you through,the top five things that are going to,allow you to be successful with tick,tock ads from the things that we've done,after spending 600 000 on tick tock ads,so let's go ahead and jump into the,first thing and start covering some of,the things you can do to actually,increase your overall conversions and as,you can see here we spent a little over,six hundred thousand dollars on testing,this far just in the last 90 days that's,about 148 million impressions from that,amount of spending about 2 million,clicks overall and so let's go ahead and,go over the tick tock adds creative best,practices so number one is videos with a,duration of 21 seconds to 34 seconds,have a 280 percent lift and conversion,yes you heard that right 21 seconds to,34 seconds if you literally just have,tick tock ads that are at least 21 to 34,seconds long,you automatically have a competitive,advantage over other tick tock,advertisers and the reason for this lift,and conversions is because that's enough,time for you to deliver information in a,concise way to the actual consumer that,might be purchasing your product or the,business that might actually be you know,choosing to work with your service and,you want to time it between 21 to 34,seconds you don't want it to be overly,long you don't want it to be overly,short,so definitely try to be within this,range because you are going to see much,better conversions by doing so and this,is data that ticktalk actually has from,you know hundreds of thousands of,advertisers that are actually already on,the platform and we're seeing this with,our results too videos that are between,21 to 34 seconds do actually convert,better,and we also see that the 9 16 aspect,ratio does help with lifting conversions,that is vertical video y'all you'll want,to make sure you have vertical video you,don't want to try to apply square video,and have these black spaces in between,the actual video you want to make sure,that these videos are actually vertical,tick tock is a vertical placement so you,want to make sure your content actually,fits for tick tock so make sure you have,a 9x16 aspect ratio in your actual,videos that is simply filming on your,phone that's the best way to do it to,actually keep the vertical video in,check and that resolution is actually,going to be higher and that actually,leads us to the next point if your video,is actually above 720p you're going to,see a 312 lifting conversion so if you,just apply these three things you're,going to see you know 280 lift and 91,left and even up to a 312 percent lift,in conversions by having hd video if you,upload a very low quality video the back,door is this you're likely going to get,much less conversions than other,accounts would and if you have ads that,are actually converting now with a low,quality video well if you just upgrade,the quality you could be seeing much,better conversions at the exact same,cost the next thing is number two and,that's tick tock user generated content,this is very big because you have,branded ads and you have spark ads,branded ads are essentially what you see,here this is an ad by go clove and you,know their shoe brand and they have,these actual you know branded outline,where it has the colors of their blue,they're green and the actual ad and it's,very branded and when you come across it,looks very much so like an ad these,types of ads do work to some degree and,you know do have good conversion rates,depending on you know how they're,actually flexing their brand and,actually driving you know consideration,and actually having people make the,conversion based off of what's actually,in the actual ad and you can see has 57,likes you know people are commenting,that they are interested in the product,which is a good thing but overall we're,seeing much better results with tiktok,spark ads and ugc content where we're,actually using user generated content in,the ads and that is a form of raw video,and user generated content is,essentially content that is created all right so i've spent a lot of money,on facebook ads not quite as much on,tick tock but it's a platformer scaling,super heavily right now spending about,40 000 a day across a few different,brands now i want to actually show you,the sales here inside of one of these,stores i i've already shown this,once i believe depending on when this is,being posted so far almost like 3k today,this is actually like super upsetting,and i'm gonna break down why because,this store i'm gonna break this down and,show you a monthly chart here was doing,over ten thousand dollars a day and if,you're running tick tock ads this video,is for you i've noticed that tick tock,facebook never had this issue because,they just want to take your money tick,tock sometimes will randomly just stop,spending on your ads and i'm not talking,about when you're first launching you,have spending issues that's another,problem and by the way how you fix that,is just relaunch change the budgets a,little bit maybe go in and directly,change the budget open up your audiences,so they're targeting a bigger broader,audience,those are some things you can do but,here's the monthly view on this store so,i'm going to show you kind of why i'm,upset on this uh and what happened this,is the store that i'm doing a 45 day,challenge type deal on where i want to,scale it to 100 000 a day in 40 days so,we got a 10 000 a day like the first,like eight days which is great but you,can see it died yesterday right there,you can see today's sales so far um,yesterday was like a thousand bucks and,it was a thousand and sixty dollars,which is really upsetting because it,only spent a couple hundred dollars so,out of like the four thousand dollars a,day in ad spend that was scheduled it,only spent like four or five hundred so,the ad performance had dropped itself,and it stopped spending money now here's,how you solve that problem so far today,we are somewhat back on track they're,still not back to 100 spending we'll,probably do,five and a half k today 6k later in the,day is always the bigger sales volume,for this brand um and yes this is a,brand it's not drop shipped i'll talk,more about it in the next update by the,way drop drop a like if you like you,know simple little lower quality like,but just basic updates that are just,like open at all cause if you're having,this problem here's how you solve it,number one instantly instantly reach out,to tick tock support thankfully tick,tock has support unlike facebook that is,absolutely terrible so i reached out to,support multiple times multiple tickets,dumping it in if you have a rep this,account has not been assigned an,advertising rep yet if you have a,representative's contact info blow them,up not like in a rude way but you know,very strict and then stern and just,seriously hit them up and get the,problem solved every single time this,happened to me twice so i have two,points of data for this,every time they're going to say there is,no problem there's no problem with your,ads oh maybe you should try this,optimizing performance thing maybe you,should try opening up your audience oh,you got too many ad groups inside your,campaign i told a person i'm like,there's no problem with having 15 ad,groups in a campaign,what and they're just being idiots for,lack of better terms and,it's really frustrating they're gonna,continue telling me there's no problems,but about on that second day when they,reply,suddenly the spend starts coming back so,it looks like they do some sort of,internal review or something happens,they'll never admit it is what i think,but reach out to support and one thing i,also do i go and i change some budgets i,turn off a bunch of stuff and i launch,new stuff inside of a new campaign so,that's how i try to get some spending,back on track again today so far i'll,turn the brightness down so it'll focus,on a little bit easier here,you can see today should do probably i'd,say five let me focus this in here again,later in the day is always the bigger,sales volume but uh you know decent,consistency and the margin is not as,good so it's just like what used to,happen on facebook or facebook would,disable your ad account a few days later,this is i think it's the same thing,they're ripping facebook off a few days,later facebook would re-enable your ad,account and guess what happened it would,always get re-enabled at like nine,o'clock ten o'clock at night spend,through your full budget so for me it's,been like thirty thousand dollars and,the results wouldn't be the eighty,thousand i'm used to it'd be like twenty,or thirty thousand so it actually lose,like fifteen thousand dollars that's the,same thing that's happening today today,the spend is back but it's spent about,three thousand dollars doing three,thousand in sales so probably lost 800,bucks so we'll see what happens later in,the day it might dilute out because it's,usually a better sales time ads and abs, but mostly ads.,Now in general, TikTok has

of the ads I've seen,,there's quite a wide variety.,(dramatic music),- I have been dreaming of
marriage with a rich girl.,- I've gotten ads for parks,,ads for like fake veneers and
ads for working for TikTok.,Some are for super small Etsy shops.,Some are for larger corporations.,Some play into TikTok trends,,or try to mimic the normal videos,you might see on your for you page,,and some are incredibly
low effort and confusing.,Like, what is this product,
and why is it so pixelated?,And I also know that other
people notice these ads as well,and can relate to getting blasted,by the same one for weeks on end.,- This is a plea to the

Hut's new limited edition,,streetwear line, Tastewear.,- They don't just sell pizza

Hut made a track suit,,and they're advertising it to
me, which is weirdly targeted.,I am not necessarily the
world's biggest Pizza Hut fan,,but I am a huge fan of companies,doing weird PR things, including clothing.,KFC Crocs, sign me up.
Peeps Crocs, I'm there.,Pizza Hut parka, I mean, I have that.,I don't actually follow a
lot of brands on TikTok,,but I have posted a fair amount of videos,with weird clothing, including

quick preface right this,brand is going,uh through button click for their cpa as,their goal they're not using complete,payment so that's just take that with a,grain of salt but overall this strategy,is going to work super well,for the your brand you're running or,your drop shipping store so we're going,to go ahead and break it down already to,let you guys know this is what i,scheduled today,the ads are just starting to run and,we're going to see you know how they,perform but this is a strategy that i've,done across multiple brands and spent,you know hundreds of thousands even,millions of dollars on tick tock doing,this exact strategy right no one's going,to share this with you you know without,joining your course like i said i do,have a a to z program but,i'd rather just share a pretty fair,amount of what i'm doing just so you,guys can get a better understanding so,we can go ahead and look at kind of what,was working previously so we launched,different ads for this brand different,ad groups you know if you watched any of,my other videos you guys know i like,this to test one creative at a time one,by one,and you can see that a lot of times we,can figure out what is the top,performing created so you we can see,here that you know these creatives spent,a ton more than the other ones and we've,kind of narrowed down to our two top,performing creatives now i'm always,testing right i'm always testing new,creatives in this you know ad testing uh,campaign that we have here,so basically we found this winner right,it was this b26 one,and the targeting is super broad i'm not,testing interest just letting the,creative drive the traffic,and we can see here that this gave us,the best cpa anything under two dollars,is really good you know for this brand,and uh yeah so everything under two,hours is great so we found these two are,our best performers so what do we know,now and guys i'm showing you that you,real time what i set up today i'll break,down more results actually for you if,you want to see this,uh from a daily aspect or even a weekly,about how i'm optimizing and different,strategies like that so you know if you,want to see that drop a comment and i'll,happily make more videos like this if it,helps you,so we found those two creatives like i,said that b26 one and the c review so,what i do is i'll take the b26 which is,that winning creative that we had,it's going to load up here and you can,see here that these these are all,you know ad set budgets with cost cap,each of them at 200,on a daily budget and you know i started,off from the recommended click so,how i found this cost cap was say if i,edit this ad group here,and i go through gonna show you exactly,what i'm doing,and they have the optimization event at,button click,i'm gonna scroll down us targeting,broad 25 plus just because the reason,why i have 25 plus is that's like the,highest converting for this type of,product that you know this business is,selling we'll scroll down to,uh day parting i have it from 9 a.m all,the way to about 1,30ish a.m,and uh we don't really want to run from,these hours,so cost cap obviously now it's down to a,1.36 but we would adopt this cost cap,normally if you have previous data on,your ad account you want to adopt this,cost cap if you don't just pick a cost,cap that you think would you know be,right for your ad groups to spend,and guys that's the setup for each ad,group and we would duplicate this one ad,right everything the exact same a bunch,of times and have 20 different ad groups,uh with all these different bids all,being,incremented by one cent,and then we can go from there so,normally i you can go down or up but i,want i decided to go up on on these uh,ad groups,each with a a cent increment and what's,crazy is no one like no one's gonna show,you this like i'm telling you no one on,youtube or wherever you go it's gonna,it's gonna show you this sauce so uh,make sure you know you join the program,if you as well as the,creatives,when we ran the ad some of you asked so,what happened so this,is what happened okay today in this,video i'm going to walk you through an,exact apple to apple comparison meaning,we literally took the same ad put it on,tick tock and we took the same ad,and we put it on facebook by the end of,this video you will know,exactly what it is that you should be,doing and webinar or,presentation funnel,so what we did was we created,an exact ad campaign with the same ad,creatives same video one on facebook,okay and then the next thing that we did,was we ran the same thing with the same,video same write-up same,ad creative on tick-tock okay which is,basically,the thing that we did together if you've,watched that video where we were,creating that tick-tock,video together and this ad over here,sent people to this,funnel okay so let's take a look at some,numbers,now that we understand the big picture,of the sales process,so on the screen you will see that this,ad campaign this is literally a new ad,account right so i'm literally,discovering this together with you guys,so that you can learn through,my mistakes and you don't have to go,through the usual trial and error,and you can see that on this,five day window we have spent about 2,600 now this is in ringgit malaysia is,the ad account where we created so for,those of you outside of malaysia that's,about 800 us dollars converted no wait,that's about 650 700 right,so in this five day window i'm gonna,walk you through the pros and cons and,some of the things that i discovered,i'm doing this okay let's talk about,pros and cons first,advantage of doing and setting this up,is that you will see it's actually very,simple to use and it looks like,facebook right the entire setup,literally looks like facebook so if,you've ever done facebook ads you'll,know that it's exactly,like facebook ads where you have to,campaign ad group and ads,okay so so that's like the first,advantage so you pick up really,easily if you've ever utilized uh,facebook ads before that being said,you also see that the targeting is also,very similar facebook,it's just based on interest broad,look-alike and,ultimately if you take a look at this,number here which is the most,important number you can see it says cpa,now what is cpa it's basically your cost,per action,how much did it cost you to get a,specific action now this action could be,a sale it could be a lead it and in this,case here because of the,the funnel that i showed you this the,action was basically registering,for a a webinar okay so this is,basically about,eight dollars okay so heading back over,here,we can see that the action that we set,the conversion,for tick tock is approximately,eight dollars and by the way if you stay,till the this on there and then I,thought you know what while I've got,this makeup on I'm gonna sit down and,film a video I mean it does look pretty,cool if I do say so myself but I would,not leave the house with this one anyway,in today's video I'm going to be testing,some things that I bought because of,tick tock these things that I've,purchased came up as an ad on my Tick,Tock feed you know every so often when,you're scrolling you keep going you keep,going and then an ad will pop up for a,random thing it seems to be the most,random things for me sometimes it's,beauty stuff and other stuff is like,cookie dough or a mattress or something,and these are some of the things that I,was genuinely curious in and so I,ordered them I think I've done something,like this before where I bought stuff,that was on Tick Tock lives I can't,remember if I've done an ads one but,here it is today let's just get into it,by the way if you want the details about,if you want the details this makeup it's,on my Instagram I listed all of the,products that I used okay so this first,Tick Tock ad that came up I actually had,a few different brands or accounts,posting the same product and basically,what I have generally found is that a,lot of the products that come up on Tick,Tock ads are sort of like Drop Shipping,type things so the company will purchase,a load of a particular product that's,just like a wholesale type product that,buy loads of them and then like Mark up,the price loads and sell them on their,website and I mean loads of stuff is,done by Drop Shipping anyway but just a,little hack here if you click on a,product on Tick Tock it comes up say,it's like 20 quid look at the sort of,brand name that's actually written on,that product in this example it is a lip,Plumping product and type that in on,Amazon or Ebay and it will probably come,up with loads of Cheaper things because,it's all the same brand and it's just,like bulk bought and then marked up for,higher prices on people's Tick Tock,shops but the brand in particular I,ended up seeing is called at syrup,cosmetics and in this ad it looks very,extreme there is a woman testing this,and this is no more lip fillers watch,till they end she's put this on half her,lips and the side that she's put it on I,mean to be fair it looks like she's had,an allergic reaction it's definitely,very plump on the side that she put it,on but it does look a little bit,dangerous so I clicked through to their,website it was a us-based website I,believe and it said it was the syrup day,and night lip plumper reduced from 50.95,to 28.95 lies it was never 50.95 in the,first place I can guarantee you sorry I,really feel like I'm going in on this,particular company like so many other,companies do this but they'll put like,was 50 now 28 dollars to sort of entice,you and be like oh it's a good deal it's,on sale when in reality I went on Amazon,typed in the roll lip plumper because,that's what's actually written on it and,I got the exact same thing for nine,pounds this one seems to be the daytime,one this one seems to be the nighttime,one but I don't know what the difference,is I think honestly I'm just gonna put,both of them on and hope for the best I,might actually try it on one half of my,lips they're very small teeny tiny,little they look like pills in the,information it just says daytime use,ginger Essence lips plump use at night,mint Night Repair moist lips double,effect unification collocation is used,for plump lips,I'm confused let's try the daytime one,so these are my lips before,well I mean I guess
